Big Horn 20188 Crown Cabinet Scraper Set of 3 (2-1/2 x 5, Gooseneck, Curved). Quality 3 piece Cabinet Scraper made from 0.036-Inch 0.9mm hardened and tempered high carbon steel. Includes 2-1/2-Inch by 5-Inch rectangle, gooseneck and curved scrapers. These are commonly used by cabinetmakers and woodworkers to remove very small amounts of wood in order to create a shiny, level surface. Cabinet scrapers can also be used to remove paint, glue or stain from wood surfaces. When using a cabinet scraper, it is important to scrape along the grain of the wood in order to prevent the smooth surface from being damaged.

The set comes in a durable plastic sleeve. I clean & spray with WD-40 after using to keep from rusting as I live near the ocean. I think these will last a lifetime!
These are my "go to" scrapers to remove paint from wood because they're fast.
Get a decent file and a burnisher if you're going to use these for smoothing, and learn how to sharpen a scraper properly. These should work well and last for years if you keep them sharp and take care of them.
I've found them very useful for evening out rough and high spots. Sometimes a piece of sand paper is too weak and a plane is too much. That's when I find these scraper to be just right.
Sharpening and keeping a good edge is something I am having to learn. But there are plenty instructional videos on YouTube covering that. I didn't buy a burnishing tool which is recommended. I'm still trying other hard tools such as mechanics wrenches for that purpose. Have not found a good alternative thus far. I would recommend these scrapers though.
