Exactly as described. awesome price, timely shipping and delivery. With the import duty and shipping still it was way cheaper than what i was getting in my country. i was little skeptical in international order but amazon has lived up to their reputation.
coming to the product. The MX200 series are the latest series from crucial, although MX550 is still selling on Amazon at a premium but i don't see any reason to shell out those extra dollars. This drive supports 6GBps and clubbed with it Acronis imaging software works like a charm. although the version of Acronis is a basic one but i am fine with the product as long as it serves the purpose and is hassle free.
i have a Asus laptop which came with 24gb msata as ready cache. already am running a kingston V300 full size ssd, wanted more space at reasonable price, msata just was the product i was looking for.
Crucial Mx100 and MX200 series have some really awesome benchmark test and reviews. was a little doubtful amount samsung since the controversy over their nand manufacturing process.
None the less, very satisfied with overall experience. attaching a few pictures of installation and product.

For 500GB, $200 for a mSATA SSD is a great deal in terms of $/GB as of June 2015. Definite improvement over traditional HD.

Very speedy, but did not increase my boot time as fast as I expected. Perhaps this is because my motherboard is 5 years old or because I did not reinstall Windows. I used a free version of Macrium Reflect to clone my old 7200 RPM hard drive (very easy cloning software). don't forget to change your boot order in your BIOS if you have multiple hard drives for your computer.

Games and programs load much, MUCH faster though. Enjoy my comparison list:

7200 RPM HD: 60 seconds
Crucial 500 GB SSD: 37 seconds

Starcraft 2 startup from battle.net launcher:
7200 RPM HD: 81 seconds

mSATA FTW

I bought this as the OS drive of a low-power small form-factor server. After putting it all together, I realized this new case didn't have a 2.5" bracket like the old case of the same brand. What a noob move! LOL. While inspecting the insides of my new server looking for places to cram the old 2.5" SSD, I came across a small port labeled 'mSATA'. Could I really be that lucky? Are there really tiny little card-like SSDs that don't cost a million dollars? I guess there are--SCORE!

All the action on the server happens on its RAID array, so I can't really speak to its performance, but like all SSDs, it's silent and boots extremely fast.

Dell 8500 Upgrade - Best Bang for Buck

Very good product. Easy installation, no issues. IT COMES WITH SCREWS.

I've had this installed for several weeks now. I hate reviewing products right out of the box. So I've had a chance to really wring this one out.

This was an upgrade to a Dell 8500 with the mSATA connector. I do a lot of video (HD not 4k) and photo processing and wanted to either buy a new workstation or upgrade the 8500. Decided to try the upgrade route with a new Windows 10 installation, the 500GB SATA as the C drive and a 4TB Seagate hybrid drive as the D: Drive. The mSATA is now the boot drive with the bare minimum of file storage, but all of the apps. The Seagate internal hybrid is the main data storage drive with a 5TB western digital backup USB 3 and a 4TB myCloud to boot.

The speed increase in video processing is incredible. Videos that took 30-40 minutes to render in MPEG 4, from AVI files, now take 5-8 minutes. Almost a factor of 10 speed increase. I render to the mSATA drive, but source from the Seagate hybrid. Once I'm done, I move the finished product to the Seagate.

This was a great upgrade, easy to install. I did turn the computer on its side to ease installation and to catch to inevitably dropped screws.

The computer now boots in about 15 seconds. Far, far faster than booting from a mechanical 7200 RPM drive...

Mainly Positive Experience with my Dell XPS 15 (2013).

My Dell XPS 15 (2013) boots up Windows 10 in under 3 seconds, whereas before (with the mechanical hard drive) it would take anywhere between 20 and 40 seconds. Programs open quickly, and there is virtually no waiting for anything to load. My only complaint (and this could have something more to do with the computer itself) is that sometimes when playing audio files (i.e. music), the music will skip and start stuttering (almost like it wasn't buffered properly). My other computer has the regular-sized [OLD MODEL] Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5-Inch Internal Solid State Drive (CT256MX100SSD1), and this issue doesn't affect that drive. Also, when I had the mechanical hard drive in my Dell XPS 15, the stuttering issue never happened. So I don't know what's going on.
