The RAM was perfectly compatible with my mid-2008 MacBookPro. One piece of advice- you need a Philips Size #00 screwdriver to open the door on the RAM compartment of the MacBookPro. I had to search all over town and eventually bought one at a small electronic supply store. Do yourself a favor and just order one at the same time if you plan to put this RAM in your MacBookPro.

I prefer this over Kingston any day. I had a Kingston that died on me when I had a 2007 Mac mini. I seen that Crucial uses Micron so I was pretty much sold since Apple uses Micron as one of the OEM memory suppliers. If you want reliability get the Crucial Memory it's priced a lot cheaper than going to Apple and ironically Apple uses the same company Crucial uses for it's OEM Memory.

This ram is exactly what it says it is. When purchasing ram make sure all the numbers match up with your computer and take into account that many computers cannot utilized all of the ram's potential. For example, my current computer can only utilize a little over 3 GB of this ram, but a computer with a 64-bit processor would be able to utilize all 4 GB.

I purchased this upgrade kit to increase the amount of memory in my imac. This memory was easy to install and I literally had the entire upgrade completed in under three minues. It was instantaly recognized and was worth the price. The performance improvement was instantaly noticeable. My system booted much faster into both the Mac OS and Windows Vista. I was not unhappy with the one GB of memory that came standard with my imac, but adding the additional memory took me to a whole new level. It's like going from a Chevy Impala, to a Corvette. (Sorry for the bad car comparison). But it is that dramatic. Spent the money, it's the cheapest most rewarding upgrade you can do for your system. Also Crucial stands behind the product with a lifetime warranty. How could you go wrong?

Worked perfectly on my core2duo iMac. It was even better beacuse I expected the iMac to recognize only 3,3GB, but it now shows 4GB. Greatly improved the speed of photo editing and gaming.

I love crucial memory! I've upgraded 3 laptops now, all using this specific brand. I don't compromise with this brand vs. other because in my experience, paying a little bit more for something more reliable, is definitely worth the money. I used this for my 2007 White Macbook. What an amazing difference it has made. Immediately started up, programs run super fast. I'm a professional photographer so I need the memory for Adobe programs including Lightroom as well as some other programs including Nik Efex. Coming from 1GB of memory to 4GB lets me use all of these at once with no lag. NO LAG!!!!

I feel extremely confident that this will last for a while, and it just upped the resale value of my laptop a little bit in case I want to sell it (hey, it may be from 2007 but works like I bought it yesterday). Plus, my powerbook G4 laptop JUST died after 10 years of use. say what you want, Apple laptops are awesome.

anyway. It's easy to install and if you have problems, you should just check out your laptop company's website or google it. It's insanely easy. and if you feel this memory might not be the right one, check out crucial's website where you can either run a diagnostics to determine the kind, or just choose your computer brand etc. from a drop down menu. Doesn't take a computer genius expert to do it and this saves you SO much money by doing it yourself.

Since i struggled with finding someone with a review that used this with my specific laptop, i'll leave my specs in case someone else needs it.
