Just as cute (or cuter) as the original Magic tears cry babies. It is always annoying that you are not sure which baby one will get....but my four year old was over the moon for them. I got her to sit quietly through a long meeting and to wash all the mirrors and glass doors in the house. Yes I am a mom that believes in bribery/ teaching a kid that hard work ends in rewards...however you look at it.
The magic jello tears are messy. It would probably be a good idea to first play with them in the bath tub or in a sink....luckily we are in a rental that started out with awful carpets...
The packaging is impossible to remove. At first I felt it was a little fishy because extra tape was added on the bottom and over the top of the shrink wrap pull which after buying a few from other stores indicated someone opened and returned them....but I think in this case it was just for added security during the shipping process. Nothing was opened or missing. The packing although takes forEVeR to remove is super cute and would make for a cute gift. You could give away as a gift pack or cut the connecting packaging and give as separate gifts because each individual smoothie house is also shrink wrapped.
Overall it makes my child beam and so that makes me happy.
The value for money is a good price as compared to other retailers. My personal opinion is that it is a little high for a mystery toy in-which my child wants all of the characters...but it does come with a clip on dress, bowl, pinwheel, spoon, sunglasses, and another surprise (at least Glam came with her sandals). It provides hours of fun and many more “learn to work with reward” sessions Which = totally worth it!

Fun for the novelty, but not great

After seeing a commercial, my 4 year old begged me for these toys. I thought, "Why not?" and gave in. The issue we're having is, despite the instructions saying it only takes 4 of the included baby bottles worth of water to get these things to cry jelly tears, we have to pump them full (8+ bottles) to get anything out of them. Of course, at that point, the tears are so thin that they run right down their faces. It would be a lot cooler if they worked as directed. I guess now we just have another plastic toy to add to the ever growing mountain of plastic toys we already own.
