"This story has so muchdepth, it's really quite a fantastic experience to be diving into it. I lovedthe complex, mature and meaningful plotline, with all the difficult andrelevant subjects it explored. It was an eye-opening read, at times reallyshocking and heart-breaking, and definitely one I won't soon forget. This is agreat, mold-breaking YA for those who want more from their books than justsilly romance stories and sparkling mythical creatures. It's a story ofbravery, dedication, protecting all those things that are unable to protectthemselves, and making a difference. An inspiring, insightful, powerful talewith great characters and interesting plot developments. I really enjoyedreading Cry of the Sea and would nothesitate to recommend it to teenagers and adults alike." -Bookish Lifestyle
"What an amazing story! Juniper(June) is a young woman of substance and holds firm to who she is despite heavypressure from her parents and peers at school. She's the kind of role model forgirls that I love to see in YA books... If you're looking for a book with astrong heroine and something fresh and unique to offer, this is for you." From the Author
I try hard to not be too heavy-handed with the environmental theme that runs through this series. However, it is there. This first book does deal with the damage caused by oil spills and ocean pollution. If these are causes dear to your heart, you will enjoy this book.
Book two, Whisper of the Woods, is now available, and I'm currently writing book three.
