Even though several events from the plot are unexpected and abrupt and some characters exit the story much to soon for my liking, the reader cannot help but become emotionally involved with them as they struggle to overcome challenges thrust upon them by the times in which they live.
Excellent first effort by Mrs. Ress. I look forward to additional offerings.
