Overall tho, awesome, enjoyable read!!
The only thing i dont get is why the cover and name cuz the 2 main characters are not wolves. Other characters are tho...
Nonetheless Ms Madison has a knack (see also "Raincheck") for giving unexpected twists to very common lore, subtly altering a fair number of details. The result is interesting and new and would have begged for more length in number of pages and could have borne more depth in characterization. Some common devices of genre fiction, mainly the blatant description of a character's looks, could have been avoided.
For those interested, there are not many sex scenes (which was perfectly fine with me): while they are finely introduced and set, so to say, the execution of the "act" itself was no more than average.
There really isn't much angst, but the story moves along well. It's well written, and the characters are likeable and believable. the bit with the coffin is a bit gothic, but decide for yourself.
An interesting different take on the supernatural world seen through the eyes of Vampire Alex. I enjoyed this book and recommend it if you're looking for a bit of a paranormal change in MM Romance.
I did like the characters and the representation of werewolf pack behavior and the interesting lore around the vampire's coffin. I didn't really approve of the Alexi's solution at the end, but that's neither here nor there. I think this is a case of just not a good book for me. I'm sure others might love it.
Note: I borrowed from Hoopla, through my local library.
And the story is funny, really really funny and humor just shines through when you least expect it.
I loved it and highly recommend it.
. But more important than the mythology she’s created, are the characters themselves. We have a vampire who’s neither brooding nor arrogant. In fact, he’s strong and competent and yet a little lost, still trying to find his place in the world. He has old friends whose company he enjoys, and over the course of the story, he meets some new people who challenge his way of thinking and living. Plus there’s a great villain.
. Even though it’s very much a paranormal m/m romance, Sarah Madison borrows from the world of mysteries by throwing in a “whodunit” overarching subplot, complete with a couple of red herrings and an awesome climactic scene where you’re rooting for, well, the good guys.
. Sarah is a new author to me and this is one of her earlier books. I can’t wait to read more of her books and stories.
Thanks for a great read, Sarah.

I loved the twist on vampire life and Tate's secret kept me reading, but, overall, the whole story fell flat for me.Read more
