So I just got this today in the mail and immediately after I opened the Amazon envelope, I could tell it wouldn't be good. The box was nearly crushed from shipping. I told myself that it was probably the post office's fault for that and went ahead to open the box.

Let me just start out by saying that the box was clearly not made to be tight/keep what's in it in-it. There was no tape closing it shut or tab, it was simply a thin cardboard box to hold it and make it seem genuine. I opened the box and what I saw was even worse. There was no bubble wrap/etc whatsoever inside; it was just the Crystal case in PLASTIC WRAP. Plastic wrap, really? It makes me feel that they gave me one that had been previously returned already.

Adding insult to injury, there were already scratches on the case! What the hell?

"High Quality Material" it says on the box. Yeah, not even close. This is flimsy plastic, a bit thicker than the Pringles' canisters lid.

Overall design is decent. In fact it was great. A perfect fit in terms of where all the buttons are and ports.

I just wish they would have added much more effort into making it worthwhile. If you have money to spend (maybe an additional $4), go get a better case.

Edit: Let me just add a bit to what happened after I put it on my Vita. It fits *perfectly*. Tight fit and it doesn't seem to strain at all. BUT, because there were many scratches, you can see them through the transparent plastic. Especially since I have a white Vita, I can see it easily.

If you can overlook the scratches and poor quality, this looks very professional.

Edit again (11 April 2013): I'm getting more scratches each day. Clearly not living up to its "high quality material" label.

Edit once more (25 April 2013): After having this one for weeks... I can only come to one conclusion... it makes your Vita look better when you take off. I removed the case only to notice how beautiful and clean my Vita was underneath and how much smaller it really is.

This case is only good for the stand, nothing else. But even so, the stand doesn't even put the Vita at a good angle.

About what I expected. Viewing stand very handy. Seemed like the edge closure clips on the right side didn’t want to stay in place when the assembly was squeezed during play, though. But please note that this may have been due to the slightly increased width added by a thick glass screen protector on mine, the edge of which extends beneath the case’s screen bezel by a few millimeters. Didn’t want to sacrifice screen protector, so I wound up switching to a silicone style bumper case instead.

The kick stand is nice. Gives me a small amount of peace of mind about keeping things looking new for now, until I get some Ghost Armor.

I need to remove the case to switch memory cards. The two halves come apart too easily, when not on unit or removing from the system. The recessed select and start are a little harder to hit.

It will probably provide some scratch protection. You'll still need front and back touch screen coverage. It is annoying, especially on a white PSP, when some dirt gets inside the case.

Not nearly as nice as my PSP clear case.

From the picture I had the impression there would be a removable panel covering the rear touch panel, but that is not the case. That said, a swinging panel back there would probably be smacking your fingers and inhibit touch maneuvers when you use one hand on front and back at the same time, so I'm not complaining.
The plastic seems a little brittle.
Eventually, it will be covered with ugly scratches and you'll need another one of these. Some of those probably would have been resisted even on an uncovered PS Vita.

Does not fit a vita pch2000. Wouldnt close. Buttons dont match holes, holes dont match speakers. It's close, but the ps button, select, and start button are held down in the pressed position when this case is on.

It's almost as close as the other brand, the PS Vita Plastic Crystal Case by BR Production (US). The only difference is that this one you're able to get off easier. The downside is that the locking mechanism is on the bottom middle of the device. So resting your fingers down there isn't going to be pleasant. So what's the difference? There really isn't between the two. This one's cons is the locking mechanism below it and the other is so tight that it'll take forever to get off.

i really love the way it looks, looks great on my vita, but this clear case actually blocks alot of the buttons making them hard to push. start select power ps button volume are all sunken in. you really have to force your finger in the hole to press all the buttons. the vita is not ergonomic at all to begin with, i was hoping this would add some girth and weight but it didnt. if your using it for netflix and just browsing, its great. but for game playing, god no.
i recommend the e for city grip, cheap and helps with hand cramps. the clear case is beautiful, but it actually hinders gameplay and makes the system inaccessible. i went right back to my Vita Grip. wanted to love it, but just too obstructive. dont recommend

Decent protection for the Vita

I like to keep my electronics in great shape. The Vita has a bunch of accessories available, including this snap-on polycarbonate case. It's ridiculously easy to apply; just open the hinged case, position the Vita inside, and snap it closed.
The Vita looks great in the case and allows you to use all the controls. Like another reviewer mentioned, the fit is good except there's a bit of a gap at the lower right of the case. An easy fix for this is to attach a wrist strap at the lower right strap hook, and now it's tight.
