Disappointed definitely not worth the wait

So disappointed in this camera. We waited over a month to get it and we were so excited about it our baby sleeps on her stomach and sleeps face down a lot so the “face covered“ feature was the main reason I got it. This camera has had nothing but issues since we got it. It is constantly freezing and disconnecting from WiFi. I can’t check on her because the camera either shows a frozen picture of her or it will show the loading screen as pictured. I’ve tried reaching out to Cubo and have done everything they’ve said and the problem still isn’t fixed. I can’t believe how horrible this camera is. We will probably return it and get another baby monitor that actually works. Also it alerts to everything which is annoying. We have cry detection set on medium and it will alert us the baby is crying with every little sound. We get a lot of false alerts and have to physically go into the room to check on her since the camera literally never works. The picture I posted is what we see 90 percent of the time so the camera is useless.

Cubo leaves Miku in the dust

We purchased Cubo on the day it launched it’s new generation. We had returned Miku maybe 10 days earlier, after trying it for 2 weeks. After only 2 nights with Cubo, we are so happy with the switch.

The image quality itself makes cubo a clear winner. Miku does not zoom in, and cubo does a great job of it.

Connecting it is easy and set up did not take long. So many features to explore still for a full review but for the price CUBO IS PEACE OF MIND!

We are loving our monitor.
So we get a bunch of notifications, well I rather be safe than sorry. The first month or so the company was still working out the notifications and we could let them know if it was wrong (ie. if it said baby cried and baby was not even in the room and maybe it picked up other sounds) While we still can, there are less erroneous notifications. We get less notifications but still a bunch specially on the one where she is out of crib and it thinks she is covered. Which can be turned off or modified so no complaints there.

My only complain is that with live feed sometimes her little noises are not picked up until she is full on crying/wailing, so we cannot hear her (if not checking her on the screen) until it is big drama. I Think it has to do with the pitch because adult voices are picked up really clearly even when whispering.

Other than that, man, the image quality in color AND night vision, aswell as the hability to zoom in are insanely good.
When the time comes we will get a second one so we can monitor spaces other than her crib.

EDIT: They just added a new feature to play lullabies through the Cubo. What a misguided feature! When there are so many existing bugs and fundamental things that could be improved (app UI, camera sharing, wifi connectivity to name a few), they’re adding more features that can complicate the software. Parents have other devices already that will probably do music better. They’re trying to sell a “One device does all“ to new unsuspecting parents who think it’ll actually work as it says. Also cry notifications being paused during lullabies? Are real parents being consulted at all in the making of this? I’m glad I returned my Cubo.

So disappointed. I waited over a month to get the new Cubo and only because you couldn’t even get the old one anymore.

The app is clunky; the video portion takes up only the top third of the screen and the rest of your screen is their useless announcements. You have to scroll side to side to get the full view of the video in portrait mode. Of course if you rotate your phone to landscape mode, it's full screen, but still want to get the full picture without a side scroll on portrait mode.

It frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi. You just have to wait when that happens, nothing you can do. If I leave the app and come back, I cannot see the video again, it just continues to load on the last seen frame frozen. I have to completely quit the app and reopen the app to see video again. I’m on iPhone with up-to-date software.

Cry detection at first only worked in the highest sensitivity mode, so we set it to high. Now for some reason that has changed and it will detect a "cry" if one of us sneezes nearby.

You cannot playback the notification videos. For instance, when it detects a cry, you get alerted on your phone with a video. You should be able to play that back to see what really happened, but 90% of the time, it's just a gray screen after pressing play, even though there is a thumbnail of the video.

We want to share this camera with our child's grandparents. Unfortunately the only indication that someone else is watching is physically on the device itself, the green light turns blue. First of all, that light is too bright and aggressive to leave on at night. Secondly, I want an indicator inside the app, without having to physically look for the light, to know when a grandparent is watching, for privacy reasons. It turns blue when I'm watching as well, so no way to know if it's indicating me or someone else watching.

Customer service is super responsive but have solved nothing. Their only solution is to do hard resets of the device, and they are very open to my feedback. Hopefully the next gen is better, but I'm returning this one. It's not worth the hefty price tag.

Das Gerät ist nett designed, was dem Baby natürlich völlig wurst ist. Aber trotzdem ein nettes Detail.

Wieso die starke Abwertung? Wir haben die Werbung so verstanden, dass das Gerät "zwitschert", wenn z.B. Bauchlage erkannt wird.

Das macht aber nur die App.
Das heißt, die Handies von Mama und idealerweise auch Papa müssen beide mit WLAN und 4G sowie aktiviertem Ton nachts neben dem Bett liegen.

Es ist interessant, dass das niemanden außer uns zu stören scheint, aber ich dachte mir, es ist sinnvoll, das zu erwähnen.

Unser Vögelchen fliegt wieder zurück - wen das oben Genannte nicht stört (und, dass das Gerät Bild und Ton zur Analyse an Dritte im Ausland sendet), wird mit der Kamera keine Probleme haben.

I was really hopeful for this monitor but it severely let me down. First, danger zone detection does not work as it should in my opinion. I can be jumping and walking in the danger zone and get no alerts. The recording of the alerts in not even close to the amount of time that it should. Temperature gauge doesn't work. Most of the time the information is blank to begin with. Didn't test the cover face portion because baby isn't here yet and I didn't want to wait until baby got here to test that feature because by that point I wont be able to return it.

I received the Cubo AI Plus monitor last week and I've set it up for about a week. In this week I could say it is a pretty good baby monitor.

The first thing is the monitoring function is really fantastic. No matter it's in daylight mode or night vision mode, the resolution is very clear. We can see our baby on our phone or tablet through the app.

Secondly, the installation is pretty easy. The manual is easy to follow, so you don’t need to find the installation guide video on YouTube. In addition, In the package Cubo AI includes 3 different bases so you can put it on the floor, attach it on your crib, or put it on the desk.

The mobile app is also great. Just as same as the installation, the app is also easy to setup and pairs with device with a minute. The app also provides many features. For me, the most important feature is the alert. My daughter loves to sleep on her stomach. Cubo AI will send alert to my phone when it detects the baby rolls and/or something covers the baby's face. Cubo AI even records a short clip when the event happens. When something happens, we just need to check the app and we could know the situation at a glance.

Besides the alert, the app also provides several cool features such as composing several pictures of the baby every day, checking the temperature and humidity, and sleep analysis. My little girl also loves the design of the monitor. She likes birds!

Overall, I would say this is an awesome product. It deserves a 5-star review!

A decent monitor but not really worth the cost

I have waited four months since we started using this monitor to write a review. There are a lot of things I like about it. It looks slick. The Wifi set up is great, the sharing feature works well. Very good night camera vs. others on the market.

It works, it works pretty well. However, there are many things about this monitor that if I had to do it all over again I would NOT buy it.

* The audio quality is not great. It cuts out or just doesn't play sometimes. This is my biggest frustration. I want to hear my baby as soon as possible in case something is not OK.

* Cry detection alerts--same as above, my baby doesn't cry so much as yell out but it doesn't trigger the cry detections. However, my six year old kid seems to trigger it whenever she's on the same floor which is annoying.

* The "chirp" sound, is real cutesy with the monitor being shaped as a bird, however, I live near protected green space and we get lots of birds chirping early in the morning and it's now waking me up thinking it's the baby monitor. I would love the ability to select a different alert sound.

* 'Moments' feature - I find this kind of dumb, at first it was cute but the image quality isn't that great, and it takes up like 50% of the app space everyday.

* Camera goes offline sometimes. I don't know if this is an issue with my connection or the camera but sometimes I have woken up in the night and the camera is not working. I have logged with support and never found a reason for why this is happening which is a little concerning.

* Perhaps related to the above I have twice woken up hearing her crying in the next room and not been able to figure out why the cry detection did not trigger.

All in all it's a decent monitor. I like the sleep analytics. The price is pretty expensive for what it was. It's priced as a premium product but the experience doesn't really add up to it. Now that my baby is a little older I'm less worried and it's fine but it definitely caused me a lot of anxiety early on for what it costs I don't really find that acceptable.

Der Cubo Ai Monitor wurde als Ersatz für ein Babyphone gekauft. Um es vorweg zu nehmen es ist ein Top Produkt, das unsere Ansprüche weit übertroffen hat.

Lieferumfang:
Dem Monitor in Form eines Vogels liegen verschiedene Halterungen (Bodenständer, Bettklammer & Tischständer) bei. Netzstecker sowie zwei Kabel zur Stromversorgung und der Sensor für Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit sind unterhalb der oben genannten Teile in der Verpackung aufzufinden.

Aufbau:
Ist kinderleicht einfache Klick oder Klemmverbindungen. Das Kabel kann sauber in der Röhren verlegt werden. Das einrichten ins Heimnetzwerk hat super funktioniert (es wurde das 5Ghz Netzwerk verwendet). Zum Betreiben wird ein Konto bei Cubo benötigt das durch die App eingerichtet werden kann.

Funktion:
Die Kamera hat eine sehr gute Bildqualität (Tag und Nacht). Die Schreierkennung funktioniert und erkennt ob das Kind sich bemerkbar macht. Dreherkennung hat bei uns bis jetzt nie ausgelöst da unser Baby auf dem Rücken schläft. Die Spieluhr bringt mit den unterschiedlichen Melodien nicht nur das Baby zum schlafen und das Nachtlicht ist ideal von der Helligkeit. Die Schlafanalyse zeigt auf wie der Nachwuchs schläft über die Genauigkeit kann man nicht viel sagen scheint aber übereinstimmend mit der Realität zu sein. Sprech, Video und Fotofunktion sind tadellos. Hatten nie Probleme mit der Verbindung zum Monitor, auch wenn wir nicht in einem WLAN online waren. Verwendet wurde ein IPhone 12 mit dem auch der Babyphone Modus bei dem das Smartphone im Standby ist einwandfrei funktioniert.

Fazit:
Für uns ist das Gerät die perfekte Weiterentwicklung eines Babyphones. Es funktioniert zuverlässig und erweitert die Funktionen eines Babyphons mit Kamera eindeutig.
