The writers style seems to be quick and to the point, giving only enough details to really force the reading experience to a more intimate level.
This reader is eagerly awaiting Part II.
First off, hot. Wow. So hot. Just...hot. Sex was smoking. Erotica is titillating and I was titillated.
My only complaint is that I don't find Nancy likable. Now, I realize the main character is Dave and he's compelling, complex, written quite believably. He questions. He doubts. He has his moments of self-consciousness. He feels he's being mistreated and it turns him on. Human sexuality is often complex and riddled with contradictions and so is he.
Nancy is stone cold mean and if, as the blurb promises, things are going to get worse for Dave, it's going to get brutal. I don't like Nancy and find it hard to be sympathetic to Dave because of his devotion to her (real world sensibilities creeping in here, I know) so I can only hope things will eventually turn around for him.
Which brings me to my final point. For erotica, which I read quite a bit of, this is the first story that has actually made me:
1) care about what happens to the main character next to hang around for more;
2) think about the main character and feel for him;
2) feel compelled to actually write a review of it.
I'll definitely be picking up more of this series.
I did say hot, didn't I?
