About the Author
Grace Cavalieri is the author of eleven books of poetry, the latest Sit Down, Says Love (Argonne House Press, 1999.) She?s adapted her previous book, Pinecrest Rest Haven, for stage. It premiered, in NYC, 2001. Grace produces ?The Poet and the Poem from the Library of Congress,? annually via NPR satellite. This series is an outgrowth of a twenty-year program she produced and hosted for public radio on WPFW-FM, Washington (1977-1997.) Grace has received some of this country?s top awards for writing, including the Pen-Fiction Award and the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award. In addition, she has received significant national awards for her service to poetry and broadcasting. She is the founder of two poetry presses which are still going strong in Washington, D.C.
