This pan is much thinner and lighter than, say, Calphalon commercial, but I've had no problem with food sticking. The size of the pan makes it a great mini-wok; it's 3" deep, 7" across the bottom, and 9 3/4" across the top. The bottom is flat, which I think is perfect if you want to saute onions, green peppers, etc. It has a clear glass lid with a good size handle. After years of cooking on a gas range, I now find myself cooking on one of those awful ceramic cooktops where you never know what the temp. is and things tend to boil over. Now when I cook rice--normally done in a 2 qt. pan, I use this pan because the 3 qt. size is more forgiving of boil overs. I hate ceramic/electic cooktops, but this pan makes them easier to live with. Anything you'd normally cook in a 2 qt saucepan you can cook in this pan and have a little margin for error. The 7" bottom is exactly the same size as the large burner on my ceramic cooktop. At just $30 this pan is a bargain, and I use it frequently. Get one. You'll like it.

Received the pan on November 1st and have been using it almost daily since then. Today after cooking with it with the lid on for about five minutes, I heard a loud popping sound. The glass in the lid broke and the handle on the lid buckled in into the pan. My daughter was close to the stove but fortunately glass did not come close to her. Thank God! Don't buy this pan, if you buy it don't use the lid. I was using only low to medium heat with this pan.

Update: Dec 2nd 2015
I contacted Cuisinart customer service regarding this. I have sending mails back and forth. Nothing positive so far. They want me to ship the damaged product or will evaluate the photos that I sent if they are to send a replacement. How can I ship a glass lid that has broken into hundreds of pieces. Ridiculous. I have solid evidence to what happened to the pan just 20 days after I bought the pan. Very bad customer service.

It was perfect for making 1-2 pounds of a meat dish. I use it for frying too because it is deep enough. The nonstick interior was easy to clean up and the pan felt just right. I wouldn't mind buying this again or give as a gift.

I love this pan so much that I have just bought a second one (while the 1st one is still perfect!). I love the depth of it most of all. I can mix and cook meals all in one pan without anything spilling over the sides (which is what happens with flatter skillet pans). I also have the 3 guart and plan on buying more. My original pan is three years old and the finish looks new. I highly recommend this product.

I'm so glad I found this pan. The discounted price and free shipping were a bonus.

It's great for so many cooking chores that require something larger than the 2 qt saucepan, but don't warrant dragging out the huge pans.
It's lightweight enough to get used often, yet heavy enough to stand up to the use.

Don't know why this size and general shape is so hard to find, it's great for soups, stews, pot roasts, boiling a batch of pasta, etc. It's also lightweight for it's size, and I don't find that the slightly thinner material affects cooking quality. The nonstick is good but not to the same standards as, say, Calphalon Unison Slide or ScanPan. Even though there's titanium strengthening the formula, it's still basically a coating, sprayed onto the surface of the aluminum near the end of the manufacturing process. I would caution anyone purchasing this kind of product to pay attention to the user's manual and apply medium to medium high heat only, even if you're boiling water. Just cover and it will come to a boil. Even though the aluminum and steel handles can withstand 500 degrees in the oven, high heat on a gas burner can reach far beyond that in a short time, and the nonstick will ultimately discolor, degrade, and begin to peel. That said, if you're relatively careful, this can be a great everyday cooking vessel.

As a long time and experienced cook I am extremely disappointed in this product. I only use wooden utensils and never put pans in dishwasher yet this item is already pitted inside and will soon be un-usable. It was not worth the money and would not recommend it to any serious cooks out there.

Chili pot, saute pan, dutch oven, wok, saucier- a great multi-purpose pan.

I've been using a small set of Cuisinart Chef's Classic Hard-Anodized cookware (66-7) for the past 3-4 years, and just added this pan. At <$30, it's a no-brainer - I've spent this much on a meal of bad take-out.

I chose the 4 qt size, and wouldn't mind having the 3 qt too, but my kitchen is a small galley, and storage is limited. So far, I've prepared several one-dish meals, spaghetti sauce, scrambled eggs, beans/lentils, and used it to sear roasts on the stove and finish them in the oven. Excellent results every time. I've had no issues with the fit and finish of this pan. This cookware will simmer a potful nicely on very low heat- I use a gas stove.

There is one caveat I like to point out with this line of cookware- I always hand wash mine, but when I took a piece of this cookware to a friends potluck, they ran it through their dishwasher afterwards. The pan came out heavily oxidized inside and out. I oiled it and after cooking with it, it was pretty much back to normal- it may have just been their brand of dishwasher soap, but I would avoid running these pans through a dishwasher. Other reviewers on Amazon have stated that they regularly run this cookware through a dishwasher, however, the Cuisinart users guide clearly states "Do not put in the dishwasher..." Your mileage may vary, but they clean up easily by hand.

Measurements- 10" across the top, 7" across the bottom, 4" deep. The lid fits the skillet of the original set, and the two pans nest perfectly for storage.
So buy yourself one.
