And when I like to cook, I don't like things to stick. I don't want to have to transfer pans. I want a pan that spreads the heat evenly. Ideally, a pan in the dishwasher is an awesome concept. And last but not least, a pan that's nonstick coating doesn't go away. That was my expectation when I bought these pans. My expectation has not been let down yet. For the money? YOU CAN'T GET BETTER VALUE! The only thing wrong with my pans is the bottoms aren't perfect chrome. They aren't black, just "used". I can still fry up 7 slices of bacon, drain the grease. Carefully wipe the chunks off with a paper towel. Return to the burner add a splash of bacon grease, use a whisk on 5 or 6 eggs and pour into the pan. Stir around with a metal whisk until they're how you like'm. Pour onto plates and let it cool down. That routine for all this time has made the bottoms of my pan a bit messy.
Update: after 5 months of use I would never buy these pans again. They have a major flaw in the design in that the bottom being layered metal heats up slowly but evenly, however just away from that thick metal bottom, the pan becomes really thin and it is here that the pan heats up so bad that the non-stick coating burns inside the pan even when the burner is set at med/low. Non-stick coating on 8" pan is peeling off already. After trying different types of non-stick pans, we decided to pay less and simply buy a T-Fel pan.
