I use the stone to sharpen the straight edge knives.
I’ve had these knives for five months. At the third month of ownership, the paint started peeling off the knives I use most frequently. I find little flecks of paint on my freshly cut potatoes and other food items.
From a brand like Cuisinart, I would expect these knives to have the color via electrolysis. And for this reason reason I gave the knives a rating of Two stars.
And for something around $20, I would still purchase this knife set again.
I will fix the paint issue with some 400 grit wet dry sandpaper.

I’ve owned these knives since June 2019. I sanded the painted edge of my most used knives with 400 grit wet-dry sand paper. The knives still have some color on them, which makes them metal and paint colored. But I have not seen any flaking paint since the sanding. I’ve been happy in this regard.
I have noticed the knives are a bit thick in the blade. The cutting edge is thinner than the rest of the knives which tends to push hard fruits veggies away from the edge before the item is fully cut. This make the last little bit break away causing the knife blade to smack into the cutting board.
It annoys me but they’re still pretty good knives considering the price and the sanding work.

I ordered these knives on June 21, 2019. The green knife has been my favorite. Five minutes ago, I was stirring a jar of peanut butter when the knife handle separated itself from the knife. Upon close inspection, I can see that the metal broke as noted in the picture.
With a name like Cuisinart you would think that it would be good. But apparently I bought into the marketing of the name And there is no real value.
If I had it to do over again, I would stay away from these knives.

These things are perfect for me. I'm no chef just an average dude who cooks tacos burgers n stuff like that. These knives are SHARP! color ate kind of cheesy to me but they cut with precision and my finger can verify that. These knives cut me to the white meat. However, I feel like I could filet a puffer fish to perfection

Not disappointed because I seen all the reviews. But these are some awesome knives I just wish this one hadn't had chipped the way it did. I used it literally only once. If the paint came off I wouldn't care but the fact that the metal is deteriorating away in front of me that's a problem with the manufacturer. No I'm not returning them cuz I really do like them. But this one is getting trashed. As for all the other people saying they rust....... well they wouldn't if you took care of them. I have no washing machine so it's all done by hand an these knives get dried immediately, an cover put back on. Hope this helps. Good luck.

WORST KNIVES I EVER OWNED AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AS THEY BREAK DURING NORMAL USE

Pretty looking and pretty dangerous. Edge of blade broke off slicing a loaf of French bread (see photos). Good thing I saw it had happened because the piece of the edge was in the slice of bread. I shudder to think what would have happened to the inside of my mouth, throat, or stomsch had I swallowed it. Considering reporting to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission and suggesting an investigation and recall. Total crap cheaply made knives. A waste of money and potential damger to health and possibly life. I'm not sure of a safe way of disposing of them other than having the edges ground off and I would have to pay to have that done.

I'm on a tight budget, so our knives are extremely cheap, I bought these because we badly need an upgrade and I was shocked to see such a great company do such a reasonably priced set of knives. Because of the low price, I was concerned these knives wouldn't be great, but after using them for over a week I can say that they are fantastic. They cut so easily, with no drag or excess pressure needed. There's a good range (although I wouldn't say no to a mid-size knife between the two size points) and the colours/knives look great in person.
Furthermore, they have a lifetime guarantee, so if the handles break off or the quality causes it to break in some way, they will be replaced. I can't really ask for more than that!
