The coating comes off with the cheese

It worked fine for a while. After a few uses the coating started to peel off. It has been 2 months now and 30% of the coating is off. Now it is unusable because the melted cheese comes off with black coating (contaminating the cheese). I do not recommend this product for lasting not even 2 months and being hazardous for the user health. By the way i always used soft clothing to wash it.

I had bought one, got it and used it to pour melting cheese on my burger and DAMN it was good. Makes a big difference for any type of sandwich or other foods with toppings. I also sautéd some onions on it. I used it 3 times, one on gas stove and twice over a charcoal grill and it’s been 2months since I bought it, still in great condition.

Only advice is to not to put it over high heat, cheese don’t require super high heat to cook and might cause the pan to mess up. Don’t use metal to scrape the left over cheese off. Use the plastic scraper that comes with it so it won’t scratch the pan.

My family grills almost every night and I am always looking for new grill accessories. I came across this one while doing a search of Cuisinart products. It is a fun addition to my other grill products. The photo on the box shows burgers and this pan melting the cheese for them. While it certainly can be used for that, I like using this pan better for melting cheese to go on grilled vegies. I've even used it to melt butter, although you need to be very careful that the butter doesn't spill out of the pan. The pan washes up well in warm soapy water and it does fold flat for easy storage. It is inexpensive enough to make a good hostess gift for a BBQ party.
