Cuisinart Chef's Classic Non-Stick Bakeware is ideal for today's cooks. The full line is constructed of heavy guage aluminized steel to provide even heat distribution and consistent baking results. The nonstick interior and exterior ensure easy food release and cleanup, and extra-thick rolled edges prevent warping. The entire line is dishwasher safe.

Product description

A nice alternative to standard cake pans, this 9-inch springform pan makes it easy to create delicious cheesecakes, as well as other special desserts like layer cakes and tortes. When the cake has finished baking, just open the latch to release and gently lift the 3-inch-tall sides straight up and away from the perfectly intact cake. To transfer the confection to a serving plate, just slide it right off its base.

As part of Cuisinart's Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware line, the pan features heavy-gauge (1.0 mm) aluminized-steel construction for fast, thorough heat distribution and even browning, as well as a durable Whitford Xylan nonstick coating (both inside and out) to ensure that a graham-cracker crust sticks to the cream-cheese filling, not to the side of the pan. It's best not to cut the cake in the pan, though--use only wood, nylon, rubber, or plastic tools to avoid scratching the surface. Oven-safe, the cookware features extra-thick rolled edges to prevent it from warping, even at high temperatures. Best of all, the cookware cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher-safe, and it carries a limited lifetime warranty.

Cuisinart AMB-9SP 9-Inch Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware Springform Pan, Silver Neither he, or I had ever made a cheesecake or used a springform pan before, so I really had no idea what to expect and was just hoping for the best. Speaking as a novice, it was suprising just how easy this pan was to use and how well it worked. I was expecting it to be much more complicated, but he was able to use and operate the pan all on his own right out of the gate. and It has continued to work well for us many times over and proven to be an excellent pan.

This IS NOT leakproof. It ruined the cheesecake my stepson made with his grandmother. Because of the leak, smoke completely filled our kitchen and dining room. Ugh. So embarrassing!! Because it leaked, we now need to clean the oven so it doesn’t smoke anymore. So many choice words are coming to my mind. Ugh.

Based on the great reviews, and knowing Cuisinart usually makes high quality cook and bakeware, I thought sure I would love this pan. I make cheesecakes. This springform is the worst one I have owned. For one, it leaked from the first time I used it. Second, when I tried to remove my cheesecake from the pan, it was a mess! I've made cheesecakes for many, many years. This was the first time the crust stayed against the side of the pan when I released the side. I had sprayed it with Pam! I knew I used enough butter with the graham cracker crust as I saw the melted butter on the bottom of my clean oven. When I tried to remove the bottom of the cheesecake and place on the platter, ..., well, it didn't make it. The cheesecake broke into chunks. The crust was ruined.

For years, I had a Kaiser. When I moved, a few boxes got lost. Of course, one box contained my Kaiser springform pan. I will buy a Kaiser. I only hope that Kaiser quality is as good as it was 20 years ago when I first bought one.
