Update (2014): I researched and specifically sought out this model (Cuisinart 7117-16UR) based on America's Test Kitchen's high recommendation back in 2008. Since then, this model has been down-graded to "Not Recommended" in their ratings. This leads me to ask (unless Cuisinart redesigned this pan and left it with the same model number), how did it drop from "Highly Recommended" to "Not Recommended"? It should still be the same pan, and should still perform well, overall, even if newer pans excel compared to this pan's price. What the hell?!?
The handles do stick out from the sides of the pan, but this was not an issue for us as it fit just fine in our oven with our giant bird (23 pounds this year) and to me it seemed easier to lift out with these handles. I can see where it would be an issue if your oven was smaller, though. It was sturdy and seemed well made. As other reviewers have pointed out, the v-rack is ok. Although, I do not believe ATK recommends any of the v-racks that come with their recommended (at least the top 2) roasting pans. I believe they recommend buying a seperate one. However, we had no issues with it and it cleaned up just fine.
We used it on the stovetop to cook down the drippings and it handled this fine (however, there is what appears to be a purely cosmetic scorch mark that will not come out, I assume from the stovetop as it is round).
Overall, if you are just planning on using your roasting pan once or twice a year and your oven can handle the size, then I think this is definitely a worthwhile consideration, especially if money is your foremost concern. This seems like a good quality, sturdy pan, and for the price I think it is great. Certainly beats using a disposable or, worse, using the broiler pan that my grandma taught me to use.

So pleased with this set. It's high quality and sturdy. I'm excited to do my first turkey in it, but so far I've done a couple of large pork loins and it's been wonderful.Published 1 month ago by M. D. Hernandez
Absolutely Love this pan, Super big in size and still fits in my oven. I use it for casseroles mostly for a family of 6 with 4 boys (2 teenagers) so we need big meals. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Missa2U
