The S-blade on my processor is totally cracked along the edge of the spindle from end to end which may cause the blade to come loose causing an injury. I called Customer Service at Cuisinart and they apparently aren't concerned about that. Unless I can find proof that this was purchased within the 18 month warranty period, they will not replace. The cost for a new blade ALONE is $15 plus shipping which is half the cost of buying an entire new unit. I would think they would be more concerned about the long-term quality of their products. This also makes me wary of purchasing any Cuisinart product in the future.
