1 out of 5 stars
If you call customer service, you get "Sign up for $5 to join"
then you read the fine print and realize you pay the $5 to subscribe at $50 a month. Oh yeah, your computer keyboard freezes. You can't make a keystroke, go forward or backward until you fill out the form or shut down your browser. The pictures show the damage. The red background has the broken pieces fished out of the fluffy parmesan cheese. The blue background is the bottom of the lid where the broken pieces were, a halfmoon of missing plastic.I've eaten PARMESAN CHEESE several times during the last week. This was prep for the finale of the wedge, a block about 1 x 2 inches or 2.5 x 5 cm (for those who think it is easier to do math by 10s). Lest you think the parmesan was the consistency of concrete, previously I had sliced it with a paring knife or a cheese wire. A little bit of parmesan goes a long way. The food processor did a magnificent job of turning most of the remnant into a fluffy condiment. The last bit "spun around on top of the blade" and made a kerCHUNK noise. I took the top off, picked the thin remnant of cheese off the wheel and ate it. Yet, as you can tell by looking, the plastic is well and truly broken. I have no idea how a remnant of unshredded cheese, about as thick as the pieces laying on the red dust cloth could manage to shatter (if that is the correct term) the top.I worried about defects in the plastic. Since when is cheese a weapon of choice? So I called Cuisinart customer service. They asked me if I wanted someone to call me or to contact me via chat. I said I didn't care. They said they would send me a form to fill out. I said okay. The form came and the most important question became "Is this a $55 question?" as "5 non refundable bucks to get permission to ask" and "fifty bucks even if you cancel immediately because you subscribe month to month" but for me, the most important question is "why on the face of this sweet green earth do the people at Cuisinart think this is a good way to win loyal customers?"Anyone out there in Amazon land know if there are possible health/safety issues if I continue to use a broken lid? This is an appliance I paid $100 for two years ago. I've enjoyed using it until about an hour ago.Granted, the help line told me that I'd get quite a bargain getting all my questions answered and I suppose of broken plastic is going to be part of my food intake, that would indicate a problem. I also know If I include every possession I own that doesn't have wheels, I may have a some question maybe once a year? "I ATE the piece that broke the plastic and I have a bone disease that makes my teeth soft."I like good food. I buy a decent parmesan and shred it myself because the taste is spectacular and so much better than store bought shredded. Store bought shredded is like eating a fast food burger. Not the worst fate that ever befell someone but nothing like eating one you've put on the grill yourself. Still, CHEESE broke the plastic and what does that tell you about the product? Would you pay $55 to get the answer that question?I was turning a block of parmesan cheese into shreds. The Cuisine Art was doing a spectacular job of turning a "hard" cheese into a fluffy yummy glorious condiment. As the very last of a 2 inch by 1.5 inch slipped to the blade, there was a "kerchunk" and the last bit of cheese spun around on top of the blade. I turned the machine off, ate the sorta kinda slice(?) - hey, I LIKE cheese, I started examining my machine. The picture on the red shows two pieces of broken plastic. The picture on the right shows the broken lid.I called Cuisineart on their customer service line and was told they would answer my questions which were going to be "Is it safe to use?" "No way was I going to try gluing the pieces together and attaching them to be lid but would this be a problem in future use? What was the purpose of the ridge around the tamper? does it prevent "reflux" of contents?"Basically - what does this mean to the quality of the results? They said I needed to fill out a form so I started filling out...got to the "$5 to join and $50 a month until I cancel." and I wanted to know if this meant the question would be a $55 question...as in the first month is charged as soon as you ask the question.Except, my computer was frozen. My choices were to fill out the form or else.

I can't say enough good things about the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor. It has truly become an indispensable tool in my kitchen.

First and foremost, this food processor is incredibly versatile. With its 8-cup capacity, it can handle a wide range of tasks, from chopping and slicing to shredding and even kneading dough. Whether I'm prepping ingredients for a weeknight dinner or tackling a more complex recipe, this machine delivers consistent results every time.

One of the standout features is the powerful motor. It effortlessly tackles even tough ingredients, making quick work of chopping nuts, pureeing vegetables, or blending smoothies. Plus, the various included blades and discs provide options for achieving the perfect texture, whether it's a fine mince or a coarse chop.

Cleanup is a breeze as well. The removable parts are dishwasher-safe, which saves valuable time after a busy meal preparation.

Safety is a top priority with the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor. It has a sturdy base with non-slip feet, ensuring stability during operation. The lid locks securely, preventing any accidents.

What truly impresses me is the durability of this appliance. It feels well-built and designed to last. Cuisinart is a brand known for its reliability, and this food processor lives up to that reputation.

In summary, the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor is a kitchen workhorse that has made cooking and meal prep a joy. It's versatile, powerful, and built to last, making it an excellent investment for anyone who loves spending time in the kitchen. I highly recommend it!

I love this so much, wasn't sure if I should got one since I have a blender, a hand blender, and a food chopper. But this baby is everything. It's so easy to use and super easy to clean. It shreds cheese so well🤩🤩 I literally can't get over it. Very powerful.
Make coleslaw a piece of cake. I only wish it had a thinner plate for shredding, since the thinnest size isn't thin enough.
It comes with a cookbook as well, so cute

I ended up having to purchase this item at Target because Amazon mistakenly sent me
a coffee maker on Prime Day instead even though my order was clearly marked “food processor.” I returned the mistaken item, but I needed a food processor right away. After that senseless delay, brick and mortar shopping was required. Overall, it’s a satisfyingly quiet machine with good chopping and whipping abilities. I did have to stop the machine to mix up some cauliflower a bit while I was whipping up some keto mash, because it seemed to not pull down the florets that had settled on top. That could have been user error—-me overpacking the container. It made a decent job of chopping up loads of parsley for a big batch of chimi churri (only the parsley and garlic…the sauce was finished in a bowl). Just be careful not to walk away or it will pulverize stuff. I have yet to use the slicing and shredding discs that come with the machine, but I’m sure they will be satisfactory. Overall, a good machine for an excellent price with more than enough room for the needs of a daily home cook.

After my very old/they don’t make ‘em like that anymore(Sears)processor broke, I was very sad. But I’d always wanted a cuisinart so after 30 years I decided now was the time. This is cuisinart number two, after I purchased a huge 1000 watt cuisinart elite 2.0 model for a great deal considering the wattage, warranty and options. But, I’m not a fan of the gasket it has... while I see it could be useful for certain things, cabbage got stuck around it first time I used it for coleslaw. I packed it back up and looked here on Amazon for something simpler, less trouble. I found this smaller cuisinart, no gasket. With the very simple, click on the workbowl, insert blade, click on lid and process. Cleanup is much easier than the elite model. I am probably going to send it back and get the basic 14 cup for a larger option to have on hand. But I really like this basic cuisinart and it’s staying right here 😉
Highly recommend...for a good price it still feels pretty powerful, does it’s job(s) and cleanup is easy. It’s not so heavy that you dread getting it out either. Glad I got this one!
Ps. The stem is a little wobbly but husband thinks it’s ok. There’s a stabilizing hole in the bowl lid. Doesn’t affect performance, I’m
not worried about it.
Also, chopping blade is ULTRA sharp, be VERY careful, lesson learned there.

I’ve always preferred to chopped, slice and dice by hand, very stubborn but things had to change as getting older don’t have time to stand and chop up ever little thing for a meal so I broke down and decided to look for something that may help in cut the time for food prep. WOW!!! I am totally impressed by this device, I am so glad I decided to break down and purchase it!! It work’s wonderfully and I am beyond pleased with it, not gonna lie I thought it was broken at first when I put it all together and didn’t turn on, you have to have the lid securely on so make sure it’s on properly to operate it. It’s not loud to where you feel like is distressing but it’s also not silent. So noise level is perfect and button controls are easy to push. And the pieces are easy to wash, never had a problem. If you are thinking of buying this then I implore you to do so. Buy one as a gift for someone who loves to cook I’m sure they’ll love it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking functional Food Processor
Reviewed in Canada on December 15, 2019

My order was promptly delivered as stated ! Thank you Amazon! Very nice looking product. I only tried it once so far, chopping onions. Quick and easy. Did a nice job. It was easy to assemble and operate. I acclimatized myself on how to use it watching the appropriate instruction Cuisinart Processor video to ensure proper use, the do’s and do nots. Very helpful. Product seems very light all around so I hope it will holdup after time! I still have my well functioning much older bigger, heavier stronger motor Cuisinart Processor DLC10 with all the attachments.......... alas a model produced before being free of BPA’s. . Therefore this recent purchase because I feel better about it being BPA free..... a shame Cuisinart did not produce updated bowls and accessories for their older models.

100% recomendada.

This works looks a charm. We've used most of the disks and blades. Only drawback is the lack of a storage container for the pieces you're not using. Can be a little dangerous to pick up the pieces from the Tupperware container we're using to store them.
