I recently decided that the humongous 14-Cup KitchenAid food processor was a bit too much for my needs. I sold it and purchased this and couldn't be happier. I needed something for basic pasta dough, shredding raw veggies for coleslaw, and any number of light-to-medium duty tasks in my kitchen. This handles everything (so far) perfectly. In fact, I've found that the Cuisinart is almost a permanent resident on the countertop instead of in the cabinet where I had intended it to go. This food processor is perfect for someone who wants to be a minimalist, whereas my KitchenAid had several different blades, disks, bowls, storage caddies, etc. It was great but too much for me and as a result, I didn't use it that much. This one, on the other hand, is ideal for the everyday things that I need to do. The fact that the refurbished is roughly half the price of brand new makes this a must-buy. Recommended.

Seems to be a good food processor

Seems to be a good food processor, the size is just right for the cooking I do. I recall one negative review complaining of the difficulty in assembling the bowl. Without even looking at the booklet I had the blade bowl and lid attached in less time than it took me to pull off the plastic wrapper. My guess is that they assembled the bowl & lid before trying to attach it to the base... That is not how these things work, the lid for safety reasons locks the bowl to the base and cannot be locked in first. Please take the time to understand the basic principals of a products operation before leaving a negative review based on your lack of ability in simple tasks.

Doesn’t turn on.

HIGHLY disappointed with this. I knew I was taking a gamble after reading several reviews from people who had received defective items, but I still bought this anyway. Huge mistake. When I opened the package, everything looked fine from the blades to the base. I washed it, then attempted to make hummus. When I went to turn it on, nothing. Tried multiple outlets and it still didn’t turn on. It is getting sent back today. This is the last time I buy a refurbished product, especially from Cuisinart.

The motor has some serious power, which is why I opted for this model. You can feel the torque when you turn it on. I got the factory refurbished one and it came in perfect condition, indistinguishable from a brand new. Some people are talking about the plastic being thin/flimsy, I'd say the quality there is fairly standard, meaning food processors aren't nessicarilly ment to be manhandled. Comes with cheese blades and slicer blades.

I've had mine for around two months and from salsa to pasta dough to salad dressing to chopping up random veggies this thing has handled business. As a professional chef I am overall quite satisfied with the quality of this unit for the price.

OK, I am now officially, definitely sold on Amazon's refurbished items. Definitely. First I tried a refurbished Samsung tablet computer; now this terrific refurbished Cuisinart. I'm sold because what comes to the front door is utterly identical to a new item. ..because of a great gentleman’s review I read.. Unfortunately, my experience was not so great... I had to return mine as the motor didn’t work at all... The packaging was fantastic and the food processor appeared to be in excellent condition.. Looks are deceiving tho, because when I tried to use it -10hrs later -to emulsify some cherry tomatoes -to make a pizza sauce, the unit just refused to work.. I tried different plugins and made sure the bowl and lid -were in the locked position; as this is NOT my first rodeo with a food processor .. Still nothing.. My husband had a quick look at the unit and told me right away that it was indeed the motor and that it was sent to me in this condition.. Very disappointed to say the least. (Not getting another refurb and IF I decide to go with Cuisinart, I will order directly from the company)

I like the product. I use it for shredding veggies. baking I have recipes that use a food processor to prepare batter. My only complaint is that it took so long to arrive. I was given a delivery date and then on that date I got a message saying that delivery was delayed. I was going out of town and thought I had given enough time to receive delivery of processor. I had to get my neighbor to take in the processor.
