I received a used refurbished product. This is not a new item. Food was still present on the base and the machine had an oder. Paint was chipping on the base and the control buttons were worn. I sent item back. Disappointed. Description said new when I purchased it, now the description doesn’t specify either way.

This is perfect for my home use. Forget all the comments about the lid breaking, if you use common sense and read the instructions it won't break. But if you force it it will break, just make sure the bottom is firmly locked in place and it snapped into the locking port. Thhen the top will slide in to lock without any problems.

First of all, I'd like to mention that I'm a huge fan of Cuisinart products. They're always well made, easy to use and last forever. I'm an experienced cook / baker in the kitchen. I have a stockpile of cooking and baking appliances.

I thought I would downsize from my larger food processor that I've had for years. (maybe 10 years old or less).
That model was easy to assemble, the touch pad was visible and it was very easy to use.

Following the directions, the assembly of this model was complicated. Parts seem to be forced to fit.
I dont understand why this model, ( when assembled and locked in place and ready to use ) the handle is over the touch pad. Makes it a bit awkward to use the touchpad. The older model when bowl was locked in place, the handle was off to the side, the blade snapped in place, lid on and you were good to go,

With this model, the blade seemed flimsy when it was placed into position. Continuing on with assembly, I had to almost force the bowl to lock in place. I read the directions and went through the steps several times, assuming something was off and that I assembling it incorrectly. I was not.

With these issues, and saving myself lugging this appliance to UPS to return it, I will pass it on to a family member who has more patience and doesn't cook / bake as often as I do. I have zero tolerance for complicated things that should be an easy task as setting up a food processor. I't shouldn't be a struggle or that difficult, but this one is.

I wish Cuisinart still made my older food processor. It was ideal, it had a very easy set up and was easy use.

Yes! Love love love! Just be sure to read the instructions carefully for first time use. In some places it doesn't specify, but you have to have the bowl locked and the lid on BEFORE plugging in. I went through two before I figured this out, I thought the power wasn't working on either one.

Right up front, the advertisement lies. The removable parts are NOT dishwasher safe - in fact, the first time I ran the removable parts through the dishwasher the center tube became warped. Not much, I could still fit the blade over it, but enough to form a very distinct oval. I would have returned the item had it not been for the fact that someone in my household was so happy at receiving a new food processor that she threw away the box it came in. So, since the unit is still usable I decided to keep it and always wash the parts by hand, until such a time that I need a new food processor. Then I will be sure not to buy this again and rather pay more for something that really is dishwasher safe. Not recommended.

This food processor is very cheap and made of silver color plastic. The middle rod holding the blade wobbled terribly with no way to tighten up. The cheap plastic did not look like it would last even if the middle rod was solid. I returned it.

Estaba muy contenta yo con mi compra y el producto. Hizo lo que me prometieron y era relativamente fácil de lavar aun sin lavaplatos. Lamentablemente en el último uso, el producto se quemó. Es decir que el platico del cuchillo se quemó y ahorita es una parte con el vaso y toda la maquina. Está 100% rota porque ya no se puede separar el cuchillo del vaso y no se puede lavar ni usar. No me puedo explicar que pasó, porque estaba preparando crema de cacahuates como siempre lo hacía con esta maquina y siempre salio muy bien. Esta vez no era diferente, ni le metí demasiadas cacahuates ni lo deje prendido mas que 2 minutos para preparar la crema. Es más, estaba yo al lado de la maquina todo el tiempo hasta que de repente empezó a holer. Estoy super decepcionada porque el producto me costó mucho dinero y antes me pareció muy bueno. Si alguien de Amazon lo está leyendo, les agradezco su ayuda para ponerme en contacto con la fabrica para poder pedir un reemplazo. No parece ser la calidad que ellos prometieron.

He leido muchos comentarios de muchos procesadores, empecé basándome en eso para comprar. Este en México tiene una sola calificación y es baja. Sin embargo también encontré los mismos comentarios de las otras marca y modelos más caros y más baratos. Mi conclusión después del uso que yo le he dado, es que hay varios aspectos qué pueden hacer qué un procesador funcione bien o mal y esto se debe a que solo han considerado el uso por su volumen y no toman en cuenta ni masa ni densidad. No es lo mismo procesar algo semi líquido que algo duro o pastoso y si de lo más pastoso y pesado se quiere llenar el vaso, es lógico qué se va a forzar de más el equipo, ocasionando calentamiento, esfuerzo y desgaste prematuro. Tomando en cuenta esos aspectos, le he dado un uso adecuado también con base a mis necesidades y ha resultado una muy buena adquisición. Es por esto que les recomiendo validar bien lo qué necesitan vs lo que compran y sobre todo, usar racionalmente lo qué decidan comprar.
