honestly, this is an update of the same cuisinart I've been using without incident since 1995-but this is the 14 cup model (my original is the 7 cup model). Some of the parts of that older model appear to work, ostensibly, in the new one-that is impressive in and of itself. Construction quality, parts fit, etc., as good as the 27 year old version (which is going to a relative). Delivery was fine-appearing a day earlier than had been scheduled, in fact.
