I am in total agreement with all the negative reviews, it was a total waste to get this book.
The only reason I gave it one star, was because of the packaging.
There are only a few good butts in this book, but then the layout over two pages ruins it, because of the binding being in the middle.
Moreover, the extreme overlaying of the pictures with non-related colors, or other "noise", takes away from the majority of the pictures.
One can spend 5 minutes on the internet and find MUCH better pictures, without the outrageous cost.
I'm thinking since Sean Combs slapped his name on it, it may be about something. Well, it's not!!!
I can understand the negative reviews on this thing. There are so many photo manipulated shots that it truly takes away from the women. A bunch of artistic abstract garbage. If the book is supposed to celebrate the human form then let it. Just take the dag on picture. Stop with the post editing work. Oh well....too late now. These people printed it and it's on the shelves costing way more than its worth.
If you want a real book that celebrates the female form then get the Taschen "The Big Butt Book". There is nothing but pictures and it retails less than this crap.
Note: The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because of packaging.
In comparison to what you actually get in the book, the cover is truly deceiving.
Although the book is impeccably made, finely bound and well crafted... it's missing one thing: women with amazing butts! After all, it is called "Culo" and it boasts that the world is sno longer flat, however, this book is all about women pretending to have "it." If you're truly a person that enjoys that part of the female anatomy, don't look for it here. I thumbed through all 200 plus pages with my fiance and even she was greatly disappointed. No coffee table spot for this book... what a huge let down!
Luckily I am one of the select few people that still go to book stores to purchase books. I picked up the book in anticipation of being wowed. This book fail to deliver.
The quality of the paper, binding and printing was superior but the content was crap. For a book who's tagline is "the world is no longer flat," this book is filled with just that: flat butts. If that's your thing, by all means pick up this book but in a book titled "CULO" I was at least expecting to see some Latinas or bigger butts.
This book is riddled with miscues: pictures where the butt crack falls in the seams, color splashed photos, weird overlays, bad crops.
As a fellow photographer I applauded the effort but the execution was poor and falls.... well flat.
"Culo", it turns out, translates roughly to "ass" from Spanish. Classier in a foreign language. The book discreetly arrived with a sleeve that covers the, ahem, subject matter on the cover. It is oversized and heavy, feeling of high quality. (Does this sound like I am describing the book??). I flipped through the pages briefly, and although I found the book somewhat redundant (lots and lots of painted butts basically), my boyfriend loved it. Onto the coffee table it went.

Could have been so much better, some people in Hollywood just don't have an eye for true booty, or beauty. Let me consult on the the next edition if you ever make one.Published on August 21, 2013 by Tommy Nester
