I would recommend this highly to anyone who has a child that wants to help with cooking real ingredients. My daughter started using them when she was 33 months (probably a lot younger than the expected user), and she can't really cut herself. She loves that there are different sizes for different types of food.
Don't expect these knives to make your food pretty or smooth. They aren't meant for that. My daughter loves to chop anything and wishes they worked more easily for carrots and potatoes! These are best used for cutting tomatoes, crunchy lettuce, zucchini, cucumber, and other semi soft things that you would use a serrated knife on. Not a chopping knife.
If your child wants to chop, I suggest letting them help dice. I cut a potato, or other hard vegetable into strips and then have my daughter chop into pieces. (Potatoes, jicama, or even cheese.)
