The second book Here Ari finds Greyson Meadows and ex - solider who is a tortured soul, He stepped into the room and turned her back around, giving him a glimpse of the ink he’d caught hints of when she’d walked in. Etched across her skin was a massive, ornate tattoo of a phoenix. He’d missed it in their mad lovemaking before, but then again, they hadn’t really taken the time to admire the view either. Its head rested against the top knot of her spine, the wings spread across her shoulder blades, and the tail plumes dipped down to tease the top of her bottom. find out if they can solve the torment in there soul.
the last book can sadie be saved by Osiris, the God who had locked all of these ladies into being phoenixes That emerald called to her. It’s the emerald of Abet. Don’t you understand? The fire goddess has chosen Sadie as a worthy sacrifice.” “I’m saving her.” He couldn’t do what Sadie asked of him. He’d thought long and hard about it. He wanted to respect her wishes, but how could he let go when he loved her so much? “I don’t care if those wizards and goddesses charmed every damn rock buried in those ruins. Or has he lost the one thing he has always desired since Isis
Ice has had enough of being a Phoenix. She has saved many souls but never has healed her old wounds. She decides the last person she saves will be her last. She saves a Texan and something about this man touched her. Turner is raising his son on his own and is healing from a plane crash. He wants Ice as soon as he sees her and she makes him see he needs his son more than work. Just when they get close something may tear them apart. Ice will have to learn to let go of her past.
Ice is a good name for this phoenix as she seems to be all ice. She tries her best to stay away from Turner and his son. She is drawn to them and want to do anything to show Turner he should be with his son more. She is afraid to get close to the child but when she has to it really begins to break her shell. Turner is a great guy who just works to hard. Ice heats him up like no one has in a while. There is the love in this book but it has danger as well. The first scene pulls you in and you never want to stop reading this book. I loved getting to know more about Ice and watching her let go.

Book Two: The Last Awakening
Ari is a phoenix who did something horrible a long time ago. She unleashed something she couldn't control and now she is paying for it. She has saved many souls but it hasn't helped her any. Now when she is ready to give up she gets the chance to be a mortal again. She just has to save Greyson. Greyson is haunted by his past and memories of being a survivor. Ari gets him to start to care about life again and have hopes. Ari just has to learn to control her magic and not kill anyone. They have another danger they have to face and Ari will have to be in control if they are to have a chance.
Ari to me at times seemed like a young girl. She is scared of herself and doesn't know what to do. She is afraid of her power. She knows she cares about Greyson and doesn't want anything to harm him. Greyson is used to drinking his problems away. He hides his pain behind the bottle. Ari brings him to life and gets him to want to quit drinking. She is very special he just doesn't know how much she is. Ari seemed to have tons of power but was never taught to use it. She has a deep emotional tie to her power and if she gets out of hand it could kill innocent people. A ghost from her past isn't ready to let her go and live a normal life either. As you can see there is action in this book along with the romance. I really enjoyed this story.

Book Three: The Last Beginning
Sadie hates her life. She spends her time saving people as a phoenix and has had to sea her friends become mortal and have a real life. She likes the fact she has lived a long life but she s ready to move on. The only problem is Osiris the god who turned her into a phoenix. He doesn't want to let her go and did something a long time ago he is afraid to admit. He is afraid to let her goal as it would mean saying goodbye to the woman he loves. He will do anything to save her and keep her with him. Sadie isn't afraid to let go she only hopes she doesn't end up in hell.
Osiris is a very powerful god and you really get to see all sides of him in this book. He is the god behind the phoenix and has his reasons for choosing each one. He picked Sadie because she caught his eye and caused him to care. Sadie feels ashamed of what she had to do to survive when she was alive. She doesn't feel worty and doesn't believe Osiris can really love her. She isn't afraid of danger or dying. She is very proud. I love the journey to all the places these two go to and all their adventures. It has lots of love and a great paranormal plot.

I enjoyed all three stories as they all had great characters and a great plot. I love what these Phoenix have to do. The author does a great job on all three stories and I connected with all the characters. This is a nice new take on paranormal books. If you love paranormal books give this set a try.

This book was a great quick read. Ice has been doing penance for Osiris for two millennia for a crime that she doesn't understand, and she's getting really sick and tired of it. Her last trip ended in a fiery plane crash after saving a man named Turner, and to her amazement her next assignment puts her right back into Turner's life. Ice is determined not to let Turner into her heart, but finds it becomes harder and harder to deny their attraction is just physical. Turner is determined to prove to Ice that he is the right guy for her.
The characters had a surprising amount of growth and development for such a short book, and it was great to watch has Ice and Turner each taught the other important lessons on life and love. The book ends with quite a twist that I had no idea was coming and set me up to read the next book, The Last Awakening.
The Last Awakening:
The thing I like most about this series is that even though the stories are short, they jump right into the action and carry you along right until the very end. Arabella is a fiesty voodoo priestess, or at least she was. Something went wrong with a spell one day and she ended up serving as one of Osiris's phoenixes until she learns her lesson. While serving as a phoenix may sound glamorous, it's actually quite the opposite. Having to die over and over again in the place of others wears thin quickly. Then one day Ari saves Greyson and everything changes. Ari is willing to risk her soul to try and help him fight his inner demons (which are pretty nasty), but she is only given a week to do it.
Now, Greyson is ex-military, and has carried around guilt from his time in the service for years. When Ari shows up and tries to show him that he has nothing to be guilty about, he runs the opposite way at first, not realizing just how much he needs her. As Ari tries to help Greyson, she realizes that she needs his help as well, and fast. Osiris has given her a time frame to save Greyson and it's quickly approaching when she finds out that everything she knew about her past was wrong. Facing this will push both of them to their emotional limits.
I really liked Ari in the first book of the series, The Last Rising, and was excited to see her starring in her own. I've become attached to the characters and couldn’t wait to read the third book.
The Last Beginning:
The last book in the Curse of the Phoenix series really brough it all together with a fantastic ending. Osiris has finally admitted (at least to himself) that Sadie is something special and different - but when she heats up, literally, with fire coursing through her body he has no clue what is going on. Their relationship goes through several stages as they try to find a cure to whatever has happened, but Osiris may still be too arrogant and make a mistake that could lose her forever.
Each of the phoenixes has had a very unique and special touch to their character and their happily ever afters. In my opinion, each one got a little better throughout the whole series. Sadie's ending is epic in many ways. Osiris was still too much of a jerk for me to really like him a whole lot though. He's an arrogant man, that thinks that because he is a god, he has the right to do whatever he wants.
This was a very good series - lots of fun with some great characters.
