Take a chance on Terry and Clyde you will be glad you did!
Terry is a warlock who has moved into the area where Clyde and his pack live. Clyde is a werewolf who has been cursed to shift every night by a witch. When Terry’s house blows up, Clyde is there to save him. When Terry follows Clyde one night, he sees him shifting on a none full moon night and knows this is wrong. Finding out that Clyde was cursed by a powerful witch, Terry then removes the curse. This sets off a chain of events that happen between Terry and Clyde and Clyde’s pack. Add in missing wolves, rising tensions and even more infighting among the pack. Life isn’t easy for Terry and Clyde, who just want to be together. And for Terry, who want the past forgotten and to let peace continue to reign between the factions. This is complicated with the re-emergence of witch that set the original curse.
There is a lot happening in this story. And it does flow along, keeping you turning the pages. However, it has more of a HFN ending than a HEA. Overall, I did enjoy the story.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Subdued colors, dark background. Male baring his torso from beneath a hooded jacket. Semi-transparent font does not stand out. Only the author name is strong. The synopsis sounds interesting enough that, while I normally steer clear of PNR, I opted to give this shorty a try.

Kris Sawyer presents a paranormal world that has a more unique backstory than most. Warring factions of magical beings vs night creatures lay the history behind this star-crossed story between warlock, Terry, and cursed werewolf, Clyde. Only fifty or so pages long, the story manages to provide the unique history, a decently developed relationship, some strong conflict between the elders and younger generations of the pack and their outlooks on this relationship, added intrigue of nefarious means, and a very loosely implied HEA that feels more suited to a serial than a series.
Regardless, this micro-novella did contain enough of the content and elements that I look for to classify it as a relatively complete story.
Rating: [PG-13] ~ Score: 4.1 ~ Stars: 4
Other than wolf related violence and implied sex, the story is fairly free of graphic violence and/or descriptive sex.

Amazing fascinating read.
When I tell you I'm inexperienced with warlocks and fantasy books....I've read TJ Klune's Wolfsong with shifters....What I mean is I don't know what I can expect or anticipate to....
I was in from page one...really....Terry and Clyde a warlock and a cursed werewolf.
Terry is saved by Clyde and Clyde will be saved by Terry.
Something beautiful grows between both men. Clyde's pack is not amused there is a deep aversion against warlocks and they want to kill and attack...
Only the danger is coming from a whole unexpected side.
Members of the pack are missing.....it's absolute not what it seems to be....
It's written in a captivating way. We get to know where they come from. We get to know who their long time enemies are. Because more danger is coming from others than from the pack.
I choked up at the end which was heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time.
It's part one of a series and I'm looking forward to part #2 to see their personalities more developed so we get to know more of them....and their enemies...
Absolute stunning about fantasy stories is that everything is possible so my expectations are on a whole other level. A new process for me.
Kindly received an ARC from the author. Thank you !
