Every now and then you run across a book that seems to hit everything just right for you. This was one of those books for me. Each and every page had just enough humor on it to keep me smiling without overdoing it and making it old. A quick read that actually made me feel better about my day.

Tilly and Bryant couldn't be more opposite - especially when it comes to believing in Cupid's Curse. Each date they go on ends (and sometimes even begins) in catastrophe. Tilly blames it on the curse, Bryant on bad luck (so he brings some lucky charms the next time). This is a definite must read if you need a pick me up, feel good story.

Wendy Sparrow writes what I call "cotton candy romances." They're light, sweet, and somehow irresistible. Cursed by Cupid fits right in. It's light, sweet and very tempting. Not only do we have a heroine with three years of bad luck, but a hunky guy who is out to prove to her that curses aren't real.

I'll leave it up to you to decide if curses are real - I can tell you that they had the date from hell. I can tell you that you'll enjoy a a nice Valentines Day themed romance. Everyone needs some cotton candy in their life!

One last thing, I want to warn you - Ever since I read Cursed by Cupid, things have been going wrong in my life. Hopefully the curse won't pass to on to you.

First thoughts after...
Super cute! I'm definitely going to look up other books by Wendy Sparrow.

How distracted did I get??
Cursed by Cupid is a fun romantic read and it's perfect for a couple of lunch breaks or an evening reading at home. Tilly poor cursed Tilly... I loved her. I'm not cursed and I'm klutzy an can see myself getting in the accidents she does! Bryant he grabbed my heart as soon as he popped up in the story. He has a great sense of humor and a hottie mctottie to boot! This story is fun and witty and difficult to put down.

Another fresh and funny story from Wendy Sparrow. I don't know how such comes up with such unique and different ideas for her books, but each one has been unlike anything else I've read. Add to that several laugh out loud moments and you'll see that Wendy has produced another winner!

Cursed by Cupid had me laughing so hard I cried. If it can go wrong for Tilly it does and it’s hilarious every time it happens. It’s tiny, just about 50 pages, but it sparkles every one of those pages. You have to be in the mood for humor but you’ll get a warm and fuzzy to go along with it.

What a cute story! I loved both Tilly and Byrant. Tilly unwisely ignored the dire predictions in a chain letter, and her love life has been cursed ever since. If there’s a good looking, single guy in the area, she will, without a doubt, turn into a klutz and completely humiliate herself in front of him. Flying milkshakes, tripping into doors, landing in a plate of shrimp linguine – each scenario is embarrassingly possible, and has domed her to a life of being depressingly single.

When she meets Bryant, after tumbling into his shop, covered in milkshake, he doesn’t know what to make of her. Or the curse. One thing he does know is that he’s not going to let her just walk away without figuring out if there’s something special between them.

Their date, when they are finally able to go on it, is nothing short of a disaster. Even I started to wonder if poor Tilly was cursed! And all because she promptly deleted a chain email, something that I do all the time, too! Bryant ends up in the hospital, Tilly swears off men and romance for the rest of her life – and then Bryant, a glass is half-full kind of guy, puts a positive spin on every near death experience he’s encountered since meeting Tilly. How sweet! I even loved the way he wrote reminders on his hands so he wouldn’t forget to do things.

Cursed by Cupid is a short, sweet read that’s guaranteed to put you in the mood for Valentine’s Day. Wendy Sparrow takes the idea of an urban legend and brings it hilariously to life, much to the dismay of the “cursed” Tilly. Extremely engaging protagonists makes this read so much fun.

How many of you remember getting those email chained letters? I know I have gotten a few. Of course, I did what they said, but eventually I quit. I think eventually the whole fad died out, who knows. Anyway, in Wendy Sparrow's new novella Cursed by Cupid we meet a Tilly Morrow who decided to break a chain email. It has been three years since she's had any luck in love. Seriously, the girl is unlucky. Tilly believes its all due to the broken chain. Then she finally meets a guy, Bryant Murphy who's willing to take a chance on Tilly. Even if it means sacrificing a limb.

Cursed by Cupid is adorable. I love that the story centers around a broken chain letter and Tilly truly believe she's cursed. Then she meets Bryant and he's willing to take a chance. Even their date ends in disaster, but he still wants to see her. Although he gets a few injuries during this time, he still thinks Tilly is swell. Yes, adorable is a great word to describe this story. I personally thought it was a fun quick read. Overall, a light fun read. So, if you are like Tilly and believe in curses from chain letters, give Cursed by Cupid a chance. Who knows you might be able to undo your bad luck.
