I actually bought this for my couch at home. My couch has high arm rests that are slightly curved so the drink holders that sit on them wouldn't work as a result of the curve. This item works perfectly in between the cushions in my couch which by design are very tight. I have an L-Shaped couch and since no one really sits in the curve this sits perfectly in between the curved cushion and the outer cushions. LOVE IT!

ok, i'm sure there are other ways to mount this, but this fits my 2002 Mits Eclipse perfectly. Not sure if some of the reviewers were installing this right... Basically, there is a flat side that extends from the cup opening down about 10 inches to the bottom; underneath the cups, there is a curved side that angles down toward the bottom, getting thinner as it goes down. The concept is, that you put the flat side along side your center console (this works great if the console wall is flat or mildly contoured), and the curved angle side rubs against the side of your front seat, near where your seat belt buckle goes. If there's just enough room to shove your hand down next to your seat (like you're feeling for coins), then this will fit. Just shove this sucker down in there, and it will stay. I will say that after a passenger gets in and out a few times, it wiggles its way back up; but if you simply make sure it's secure every time you put a cup in, this will never be a problem. For two extra cupholders and no screwing/glueing, you can't beat this for ten bucks.. (as of Apr 2012)

I mounted this to the front of a mini wheeled cooler that didn't have cup holders. It is perfect for wherever you need to mount cup holders.

This is decent cup holder but be careful with a tall cup if your route has curves ahead; we have some seriously winding roads out here and with a cup as tall as the one in the photo it will sometimes tip right out of the holder and onto the floor. I solved this by jamming a foam "cozy" in there which not only keeps the cup from tipping over but also provides insulation as well.

Cut the wedge potion off and secured it to the top of my center console with a few screws. Exactly what my car needed!

This cup holder is better than where I was putting my coffee - the drink holder from the manufacturer that extend out from the console and I had to keep one I eye on the road and the other on my drink for when it fell through so I could catch it! That said, not the highest bar this wedge cup holder had to surpass.

First, the cups aren't very deep - 2". Even another inch would have helped in the design. A standard Starbucks has a lot of wiggle room so I am concerned the drink will topple over if I stop or start suddenly. I'll have to look for a commuter mug with a wider base.

Second, in my vehicle the wedge does slip a bit - it's not that secure between the bucket seat and center console (1997 4Runner). Again, a concern that my drinks will go flying on an abrupt stop. I sanded the back of the wedge that is closest to the seat and put a bead of caulking on it. This helped a lot on keeping it secure. But, even with the sanding the wedge is made of slick, hard plastic and the caulking starts to work it way off. However, this fix has eliminated my second concern.

Third, for my truck anyway, this cup holder is for solo trips only. No one can sit in the passenger front seat with the wedge in place.

If you have horrible or no cup holders, this solution is better than that. And, maybe the wedge will fit your car better than mine.

Two-cup wedge-in cup holder that fits my Honda Element and looks great, EXACTLY what I was looking for. I didn't even know these wedge-in cup holders existed until I saw a single-cup model at an auto parts store a few weeks ago. It was good, but I wondered if there were any two-cup models. I was highly pleased to find this.

It fits perfectly in between the console and the passenger seat in my car. Now I have a total of four available cup holders by the driver's seat, including the two factory cup holders in the console.

It's true that the cups in this product are a little shallow. You have to use common sense about what you put in them. In my case, I put my ashtray in one cup, and then I used crazy glue to fasten my G-Cord smart phone holder into the other cup. I just put a little glue on the very bottom of the G-Cord's base, then quickly inserted it into the cup and snugged it in with the G-Cord's rotating expander, while pressing the base of the G-Cord firmly down into the cup for about 20 seconds to get a good adhesion. The trick is not to over-tighten the G-Cord's expander, because the cup walls in this product incline slightly outward and too much tightening of the expander will cause the G-Cord to rise up out of the cup before the glue can set. It's the glue that holds the G-Cord in the cup; your tightening of the expander is mainly a cosmetic tactic to hide your hack, so that the base of the G-Cord doesn't look like it's swimming around loose in the cup.

This is so simple and effective, I wish I'd thought of it!! My BMW Z4 has two cup holders that had broken, this gadget saved the day!! It fits perfectly and looks great. It doesn't really interfere if I carry a passenger.
I can't believe how much a $10 piece of plastic makes my "cockpit"more F18 than has been!! Thanks guys!
