Weak Research and Topic Point
on April 22, 2015
This is definitely an easy read. You can feel the enthusiasm the author shares with you in this book through the language used. Critically, the topic is not well-thought. The premise behind this book is that during the industrial revolution and well into the 1980's, everything was mass produced into a one-size fits all category. Well, this may be true, rarely was there a time in American consumerism where custom-options did not exist and the author tries too hard to argue against that point.
What's more, he does not have a broad scope of industry as a whole. He admits from the beginning that he created and made it in custom-for-you business in the food industry. This is certainly not new. The chapters cover a broad range of topics of the 'why' is a good time to start such a business and the 'how' to do it. But again, they are broad and not in-depth. There are other reads on this subject matter which far outweigh this one.
