For those of you that paint cars this is the stuff to have if you don't have a bionic eye or can time the drips to get the perfect mixture of paint-reducer-hardener.

I had been using, like a lot of people, 7-11 cups that I poured water into and marked the outside. These are OK but there are times when I needed LESS than the 8 OZ I had marked the cup for. Also they don't take to being cleaned out that well.

These, on the other hand, are GREAT! Pour the paint-reducer-hardener in or the 2K primer and special hardener, strain it into the gun, shoot the car knowing you have the EXACT factory recommended mixture. Since it seems that each company uses a different mixture it works out great. There is a ratio markings on the side also but I was a bit paranoid so I went with the OZ graduations just to be sure. Paint-reducer-hardener is not cheap!

When you are cleaning the gun, you clean out the cups. Simple! It is a BIT cloudy after being cleaned but not enough to obscure the graduations.

Great product. Well worth the cost! The piece of mind it gives an amateur painter is priceless.

10 of the 12 cups arrived with splits up the sides and were not useable. The cups ARE NOT accurately calibrated resulting in wrong mixing ratios and poor product application and frustration. The graduation markings on the cups smear off when exposed to even the mildest solvents.i would not recommend this product to anyone.

These are simply disposable plastic cups with printed measurements on the side.

The print wipes off with the weakest solvents, so they really aren't reusable, which makes them expensive in the long run.

I'll stick with PYREX beakers which are reusable forever if you don't drop them.

These work well. I don't fully trust the markings at the first increment above the bottom, though I have not checked them. When I'm adding something like hardener, I add the paint first and then the hardener so I'm using what are obviously very uniform volume marks.

Can you ever have enough of these cups? I use them for auto paint and other home projects. The family swipes a few for their projects and everyone loves them. I have used them to mix hot chemicals and they hold up to heat well even though that is not an intended use. The scales on the side are easy to read. The surface is smooth and for many standard project paints we can clean the cups and reuse them. This also allows some adhesives to dry and release from the cups which is nice and reduces the number of cups we have to throw away. Great product.

The numbers come off with lacquer cleaner, so it can't be cleaned and used again. Other than that it ok.

First off read all of the reviews listed here to get the fullest picture of the products and any issues that may come up!

I am an avid airbrush artist and paint about 10 to 12 times per week. I often have to prepare my surfaces with a primer coat and create backgrounds for my murals. This requires mixing larger amounts of acrylics than most airbrushers usually use. These cups give me the opportunity to do it in a more controlled manner. Ratios of paint, dryers and thinning agents. The cups all show liquid measure so even if the ratios are off you can get it mixed right by going old school.

I took a cup and marked it for the mixtures I needed and saved the cups for future reuse, by labeling them with the ratios required.

Although some who have reviewed these have been very critical of the lettering on the cups getting dissolved by solvents after use. As a fan of acrylic technology this is not an issue for me.

However you use them.......I am a definite fan and will continue to use them in my shop!

I am a non-paid reviewer, and received this product for free or at a great discount for doing a fair and honest review. I only review items my readers would like to know more about.

These mixing cups have impressed me with my use of them so far. I don't know if I'd use them for measuring a specific volume that had to be dead on precise but as far the mixing ratios go I've never had a problem with any product not curing correctly when mixed in these cups. Also in reference to some other reviews that say the mixing scales smear off with solvent, that's an issue I've never experienced. I've used them with primer, base coat, clear coat, single stage and even some specialty coatings (bedliner, undercoating ect) and they have worked well for everything.
