Tolerances vary wildly, packaging makes keeping them sorted a breeze though.

An excellent price for this many resistors. And the packaging is great, easy to find the right one. But, user beware. If you are looking for 1% resistors this may not be the item, many of them fall well outside of their 1% rated tolerance from stated value. That being said, for the price it may be worth it if only every third resistor is within spec. I don’t buy a whole lot of resistors so I don’t know if this kind of variance is typical, but I will say you should use a reliable parts tester or DMM on each one before using them in your circuit. I guess what I’m saying is, for the price you probably get closer to 225 1% tolerance resistors, 225 5% resistors, and 225 10% resistors in reality.

Great packaging, but not 1% tolerance

I have bought 2 cases of CuteQueen resistors on Amazon, and the packaging is fantastic. It is REALLY simple to keep your resistors organized and find the value you are looking for quickly. But they claim a 1% tolerance, and that is not even close. 15% tolerance is more likely. To give some actual numbers:

A 1M Ohm resistor, measured 995K (5% difference)
A 1K Ohm resistor, measured 987 (9% difference)

And I could go on like this for all values. So, if you are OK with 10~15% difference, these will do great. But if you REALLY need 1% difference, forget these, as they are certainly NOT 1% tolerance.

The wires are really thin and don't fit Dupont connectors!

I like that the resistors are packaged and labeled separately so you can easily find the resistors you need, but the wires are not Dupont compatible. They are too thin and you'll have to use tricks to use them on a breadboard or with a micro-controller (like an Arduino). Taking two stars off because that was not in the description and had I known, I would have probably bought a different set.

That being said, does anybody have any tips on the simplest way to make these compatible?

Mine did not come in a cardboard box like the picture. Instead they came in a very cheap plastic bottle thingy. You can't flip through them to find the one you need unless you take all of them out of the container, so it's a little inconvenient. Also, they don't seem to be in any particular order and the stickers that identify them seem to be placed randomly. some of them are right side up with the opening on the right, some with the opening on the left. When I got them half were facing towards me and the other half away from me.

Other than those minor inconveniences though, they do seem to be complete and for the price you can't really complain.

I HATE metal film resistors. The color code is impossible for me to read, however, these come pre labled and sorted, and they are cheap. If you can afford it, buy carbon film. If you just need a whackton of resistors, buy these.

This is a solid 4.5 stars out of 5! The value is phenomenal. The only minor issue it that some of the resistors are not exactly accurate. A few were off by greater than the 1% variance. HOWEVER, the majority that I tested were within 1% and a few were almost exactly on point! I tested the 1k ohm resistors and out of the 25 pieces only about 4 were out of the 1% range. I didn't test the others though. Still, not bad considering the price. I wouldn't hesitate to get this again even with the very minor issue.

Great value for the dollar. Some may complain about not getting this value, or the other value-- baloney. If you're serious about electronics, you'll wind up buying literally THOUSANDS of resistors so you have the values you need. Other than that, you can always put resistors of varying sizes in parallel, to make the precise value you require, while your order from another vendor for a specific value (or Radio Shack at the local mall) satisfies the specific need.

Price for the ones this seller offers-- which are 1% tolerance, is excellent.

Good Parts, bad label

I got this kit to have good supply of spare resistors. It will work great for that.

I tested a sample set with my multimeter and all were well within spec.

However the label on the box calls out some incorrect values. It does not list the 200 Ohm bag that is there, calls for a 330 K bag that is not included, and calls out a 22 K bag when there is a 20 K bag. The product description on this page is correct. I'm taking a star off for this discrepancy.
