We bought these for a couple of low cabinets and the refrigerator after my almost three year old starting helping herself to goodies in both locations.
They work very well. In order to open, you push the knob to the side and it opens. Certainly not something a toddler with limited fine motor skills can get into.
Installation was quick and easy- remove the paper covering the sticky part and slap it on whatever you need protected from your rugrat.
Adhesion- no issues with it moving or coming off yet! Seems very durable.
I can’t speak to ease of removal yet as it’ll be a while before we take them off.
Appearance- white, blends in with our cupboards and isn’t clunky looking.
Would definitely recommend this for keeping your child safe from any cupboards or things in the fridge. A good value for the price.
Great use for the file cabinets at my work that just wouldn't stay shut. These worked just perfect to keep them shut and stop driving me crazy!! + they are easy to use!!
Easy to use. Works great for my stove and all the drawers I can't lock with the other types of safety locks. My son can't open these and they work great!
I use these on the fridge and for the cabinets under the kitchen and bathroom sink. I also have one to keep the water heater door locked shut. I've also used these on dresser drawers and closet doors. These have worked well for us, My little one can easily lock these but can not unlock them.
Lets talk pros and cons Pros- my almost 4 year old hasn't figured out how to unlock them yet, it could be because she doesn't care enough to really try, or its because I make sure she doeant watch me unlock them so she simply just doesnt know how to use them. but they are easy to unlock for us adults who know how to use them, They are even easy to lock and unlock one handed.
Cons- Once these are placed they are not easily taken off.. I had these on wood cabinet/closet doors, and painted walls and cabinets, trying to get the adhesive off was a nightmare and it ended up damaging the wood and paint. I wouldn't recommend using these on grandmas priceless china hutch or anything expensive/sentimental because there will be damage to what ever you stick these to.. Yet I bought more when we moved..
Perhaps I'm crazy but I like these things and I try them everywhere and what I've learned is, they are great for the fridge and freezer doors, cabinets, cupboards, and dressers drawers. They are not great for keeping doors qnd closets locked (to much force from, lets say a toddler who really wants to get into that room/closet) will wrip the adhesive off and or break the locking function (to be expected but I had to try!)
Pro-These are great from keeping kids out of dresser drawers Con- They are not tight enough to keep fingers from being pinched from said dresser drawers.
Pro- you can adjust the length of these locks Con- once you select the size and lock it into place, you can not change your mind and readjust the length.
Once you use these and/if successively take them off, you can re-use the lock if you happen to have more adhesive. This company unfortently does not sell the adhesive separately (I should know I tried to get more) but they to provide a couple extra adhesives strips with your purchase. I have had a couple of the adhesives come unstuck for unknown reasons but most of them have stuck very well (perhaps to well) So.. 4 stars for the function 4 stars for the durability 1 star for the inevitable damage they will cause.
I have multiple sets of these and they work great! Some are going strong for several years now. They keep the little ones out, but they’re easy enough for the adults and older kids to use. They’re easy to install, but I haven’t tried to remove any yet so I’m not sure how it will affect the finishes.

I bought these because my cat has a weird habit of enjoying the sound of opening the cabinets and closing them repeatedly, which is quite annoying after awhile. She also has pica and I was having to put my kitchen towels in the microwave to keep her from eating them. (she eats cotton cloth). These serve a dual purpose of no longer having to listen to the cabinets bang and being able to use command 3M hooks on the inside of the doors to hang my dish towels away from her to dry. I rent my apartment so I needed something that I can remove without damaging or marring the cabinets. She is an adult cat with great determination, and has not been able to pull these off. They were simple to put on, I have not tried to remove them, so I cant vouch for the results of that. Opening them takes some getting used to but are very easy to just slide over and open them, and just press them to lock back. They have been on for a few days now and I've been in and out of them several times without any problems with them not staying adhered. As a mother, although my children are adults now, I would suggest not letting your toddlers 'see' how you open them. They pick up on everything and the ease of opening them once you know how is not difficult. They lock well and would take some strength and determination to rip or break them open. I am very happy with them and would recommend them.

Simple to install, not a huge hindrance to open repeatedly.

My husband and I don't have kids. We don't want kids. We'll never have kids. So imagine our faces when we realized we needed to buy these because our CATS feel the need to pull open our drawers and cupboards so they can climb in. These work really well to prevent our cats from getting into things they shouldn't be in. Resists all of the pulling the cats do to try to get into drawers
I ordered these latches for my converted van, to keep a variety of drawers and cabinets closed when in motion. I first tried them on a drawer, and wasn't able to open them when wrapped tightly around the corner with the button on the front. I had to waste one of the adhesive pads and use one of the spares to create a loop to stick my finger in when i punched the button. Also, these are clunky looking and don't look nice at all on my pretty wood cabinets. I think I'll continue trying to make the internal ones work. I just have to modify the drawers a bit.
I ordered these to install on my fridge and screen door. They work well to prevent my little grandson from opening my fridge on his own. I have installed one on the freezer door as well so that I remember to make sure the freezer door is actually closed. One up high on the screen door helps keep the little person from opening the door and going outside on his own. I did find them confusing to use the first couple of times but overall I am glad that I ordered them.
I bought the same a few years ago and it was impossible to open. These ones on the other had, the glue came off a few hours after putting them in. Very disappointing.
I cannot tell that applying it on some drawers didn’t give the needed job to lock those drawers or I can easily remove it as the glue will damage the paint .. very frustrated , disappointing recommendation- Amazon choice
