I love the sound and power of this subwoofer, except for the following. If I had to do it all over again, I would still buy Cerwin Vega, but I would get the next size or two smaller. The 21" sub is quite heavy to move around if you have to go up or down any stairs (takes two people). The power is great but can be too much for my house. It is probably better suited for a larger house or hall. I love the sub when watching movies with the surround system. It is fantastic for that. I liked it when cranking up my favorite music, but that can lead to problems, The sub is in a lower level family room (18' x 30') and this monster can definitely shake the house a little too much if cranking up the volume while listening to music. A couple times I blasted some music while sitting in the wet bar room and gone upstairs find pictures off the walls among others things on the floor. I originally had the sub upstairs and that got complaints from one neighbor when cranking music. That being said though, I'm keeping what I have. I just have to tone it down a little when listening to music.

Where to start, I guess I can start from previous subwoofers. I had the cerwin vega cls-15 or what ever it is the one they still have on amazon here 15" powered. I wasn't happy with that subwoofer, although build quality and speaker/amp seemed very good. It just didn't give the effect I was going for. I then came across 2 epik empires on craigslist at a good price. Now those sub have 2 15" powered speakers in each cabinet, yes a total of 4 15"s which is crazy. To me they acted like 1 15 in each cabinet but sounded very good. after about a year of owning them the speakers began to pop a little and one of the cabinets developed a rattle so it was time to move on.

Everybody is different when it comes to surround sound and what they think is good. I prefer it to be loud, endless bass and greatpicture, decent price. I will leave me setup at the bottom. I know this subwoofer is intended for music/stage or what not but my setup should allow me for movies also.

Ok after first lugging this thing in the theater room (its very heavy and awkward) I noticed no rca/composite input and it has either speakon or the 1/4 inch guitar type hookup luckily I had an adaptor. I got it hooked up and turned on my receiver started playing some music through Bluetooth did some tweeking on the levels of my receiver and subwoofer.

My first impression was like Holy #^it, but that was with music and I don't listen to music in my theater room unless its Guitar hero (yes I still play that lol) It has some extremely deep bass, I could feel the air move in the room. I didn't like the fact that I have to turn this thing up almost 3/4 to actually get it to my liking. I was expecting somewhere about 1/4 maybe half. Maybe that has something to do with my smaller room.

I knew from the day it was delivered this thing was a Beast!!!! The Fed Ex guy was thankful I was here to help get it off the truck. This Sub is Very Heavy!!!! This Sub was shipped tightly packed in a box with no signs of damage. I unpacked the Sub and let it acclimate. I figured where I wanted to sit it and moved it into position. I ran it to a dedicated 20 amp outlet. Made some adjustments and brought up the volume. I could tell right away that it had a lot of power. With My board at low volume It started to Thump! Made some more Adjustments and Set the Q and gave her some more volume! I can't say I was surprised because I know the Quality of Cerwin Vega. I will say that I was Very Happy with the Amount of Bass this 21" Stroker can put out! So I play this thing Everyday between Low to Mid Volume It has been almost a month Now Let Me tell You THIS SUB POUNDS!!!! As this sub breaks in it honest to God Sounds Firmer, Tighter and Way More Responsive!!! I use the internal X-over and run out to My Peavey 118D Active Subs. I have heard a lot of systems in clubs and on stage and Have Never been impressed with the Bass. I Have to Say With Two 18" Sub's and This 21" Stroker I could not be More Happy!

I got a pair of these by mere accident, a friend of mine was closing an electronics store he had and he owed me some money so he gave me a couple of things from it as payment, among them was a pair of CVA 121 and 6 CVA 28. At first I thought Id sell them since I didnt think I'd be using them since I had Just purchased 12 Xtreme Speakers which is a brand of european fine concert speakers, like meyer (4 18"subs 4 mids and 4 highs) Which by the way set me back 35k without amps. To make a long story short I ended up selling the Xtreme speakers, beacause although they sound great they are just no match for the raw power from the cerwin vega. I mean a party with 400 people and these babies rocked the house I mean It sounded like a club from vegas. There is just nothing I have ever heard that will match these speakers for even twice the price. They are better than you think.

not purchased on amazon but figured I would write a review, to put it simply, wow... its so clean and hits so hard. not "muddy" or delayed at all because of its size. and man when I have people over and tell them that this beast is a sub woofer and not a table, their jaws drop. its great seeing people reaction to the sight of it, but when I turn it up. the entire house shakes, and my neighbors, honestly can be heard from a mile away and wouldn't recommend anything other than this for the price. if you have the $$$ and are looking at this, buy it, honestly you could never regret it. I know I dont.
