I bought this device, thinking it was like the other network TAP's I already own., it's not that kind of device IT's NOT A PASS Though TAP, the port mirror is the one port to both ports on the left, to power up the device you need to plug the "in" port into a POE source, then all 3 port can be used , the other 2 are not a power source. this is really for a lab with one computer or one device , if you want a pass though TAP, this is not the one for you., if you want a pass though TAP, the green TAP for 69.95 is a pass thought, but it requires power sourse . one note for you, if you are using wireshark, with the interface when are capturing traffic you will see your own traffic in wireshare., here is how to take care of that so you don't your own traffic . Go into TCP/IP properties on the wireshark interface and uncheck the tcp/ip box ., and apply it
