I have Windows 10 and I cannot get this software to install. It will say that the software requires Microsoft's 2008 C++ Redistributable package. That is not readily available anymore as you need to sign up to a Microsoft account and even then the oldest I can find is 2010. As a result, I cannot get this software to run on my computer. Furthermore, the terms are no returns or refunds. As a result, this is the worst purchase I have made on Amazon because I spent $45 for software that cannot run on my computer. I am shocked that Cyberlink would not update the software. I almost never have problems I can't fix on getting software to run on my computer but I can't seem to fix this. I encourage you to learn from the lessons of myself and a few others here. The 2008 C++ problem is a deal killer. Very disappointed with Cyberlink, and I encourage Amazon to look into this. The reason I disregarded the other negative reviews was in part confidence that I could get this to run and that Amazon wouldn't let software sellers sell stuff that didn't work. Anyone could quickly test this and see (my laptop is brand new).

Regarding your concern, I would suggest you to reinstall PowerDirector 15 again with the following steps:
1. Uninstall below programs from Windows Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall a program.
-- CyberLink PowerDirector 15
-- All entries of "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x64)"
2. After uninstallation, reboot Windows.
3. Reinstall PowerDirector 15 directly without manually installing back Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x64).
4. Check the launch condition.
Note:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x64) will be installed back automatically during PowerDirector 15 reinstallation.
If condition persists, you are advised to refresh windows and then try to install the program on your PC, as a possible solution. Otherwise, you are able to decide if going to follow the possible solution provided by Microsoft or we suggest you to find local PC service provider for assistance.

This makes no sense at all. The program was never able to be installed so how could I install it. And the idea of going to a "local PC service provide"....Come on guys. I have a new Windows 10 notebook, I just bought new software from amazon. It should work. $45 down the drain.
