The outlets themselves work well enough, but the design itself is terrible. First of all, the spacing between the sockets is way too small. Because of this, it is impossible to plug any more than two things into the unit at once if you're dealing with abnormally-shaped plugs. Secondly, why they decided to put the USB ports directly underneath the sockets is beyond me. I had to plug things in upside-down just so I could still use the USB charging ports. Finally, the "optional" anchoring screw is very tough to remove. I had to literally hammer it out of the unit, as it is attached with a small piece of plastic at the end which prevents it from screwing out. Check out the picture to see what I'm talking about.

All in all, buy a different unit without so many design flaws.

Disappointed. Outlet plugs to the right and left of center will not except plug in. The device completely covers a typical twin outlet so I now have traded two outlets for one. The usb plugs are working so far, but according to the reviews, I dare not hold my breath. Even if I could get a plug in the outlets to the right and left of the center plug, the very size of the smallest plugs would restrict using all three. They would over lap just a little. Crap product purchased on one of those rapid buy offers. Lesson... stay away from these too unless you have already done your research.

Update 06/2018: revise my original assessment to 4 stars. I managed to use the plugs to the right and left of the center one. I had to break them in before placing the unit in the wall outlet.The usb plugs are still working great and charge my devices quickly. I only use the outlet plugs for charging devices that have rechargable battery systems such as electric toothbrushes hair and beard trimmers and the like, as they only pull a low current. No problems aside from the fact that I still can not use all three outlets at once. It must be either the center one alone or the two to the left and right of the center plug. I also wish I could plug something like a lamp in this item without the fear of burning it out.

I've really liked my other CyberPower gear, especially their UPS systems. I had the same high expectations for this, even though it is inexpensive. Unfortunately, this product is now in the trash. First, the included screw to anchor the device to my outlet is too short - it needs to be about 1/4 inch longer to securely attach. So I pulled the screw out and got a #6-32 x 1.75 inch screw from the hardware store. The head on the screw was too large to fit into the unit so I carefully, manually reamed the hole wider with a drill bit and now the longer screw head fit in. If fits OK now and the replacement screw works. So I let my iPad charge a couple of hours from the USB ports and discovered that it had charged about 5%. At about 2-3% per hour to charge an iPad, it is relatively worthless. Since I "modified" the device to get a screw to fit, I'm not going to attempt a return to Amazon. I got an Anker charger instead: It cost more, but the Anker works great. This CyberPower went to the trash. It was cheap, so you get what you pay for. Lesson learned.

Horrible product and not made to plug into outlet. I bought this as an extra charger but didn’t have occasion to open up and use it u til prepping kids for college. This can’t be plugged into the wall due to placement of a screw that doesn’t come out with a screwdriver and a plastic piece that is roughly the length of the ground line. Buyer beware. Sounds too good, likely it is not too good and waste of money.

This was a great purchase! It has saved me a lot of headaches. The only suggestion I would have would be... in the center of all electrical outlets is a screw, I believe they could include a screw, instead of the plastic (I included a picture), to hold this better in the wall. If you're not careful or use a little too much force, I have a rough boys in my house, you can pull the whole thing out. I did not however I think this was enough to give it less than five stars.

"Unfortunately you have voided your warranty by plugging in a microwave." From CyberPower, Claims Dept., Shelby Lovett. "Thank you for filing a claim under our connected equipment guarantee. Unfortunately you have voided your warranty by plugging in a microwave." There are a number of comments that note this is suitable for refrigerator or microwave. Even the manufacturer (CyberPower) responded to a question stating this can be used with a refrigerator. But CyberPower will not honor that. Not only are you NOT getting the expected protection to avoid damaged equipment, you will not get reimbursed for the damaged equipment though they claim: "$50,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee"

OK product. Does a good job of reducing work space clutter. I bought a couple of these to be used in counter top plugs to provide protection for computing equipment.
Unfortunately, the 3 AC outlets are too close and it renders the centre one useless. Overall, I deem that I've gained no AC outlets but I did gain two USB charging ports. Additionally, the unit is not very firmly attached even then I use the centre screw. I find that my APC unit is SOLID when installed, but with this one, you definitely feel the unit rock back and forth when plugging into the AC outlets.

Tip: I plugged one of these into an extension cord to make myself a handy charging station/surge strip. It sits inconspicuously atop my desk and gives me quick access to power for devices I'm using temporarily.

This is my second one, bought at two different times. I really like this product. It comes with a built in screw, to replace your current wall plug cover. The LED light is visible, but not so bright where it would distrub your sleep.
The plugs are a decent distance from each other to allow 3 normal power plugs to be plugged at the same time. The usb ports work well.

We plug our laptops into this. The added USB charging is fantastic as it helps to keep the other slots clear.

I had to remove the screw as it doesn't work with our outlets and this makes it a little less secure, but it doesn't bother me because I don't pull cords to remove things from outlets.

Amazing. I got a similar one for myself, but hers is better! You unscrew the middle portion and take off the outlet and it becomes teh outlet. Mine lways falls down.

Only problem is it lights up the room....? Why. 3 stars for that braindead feature addition.
