Product Description
The CyberPower PDU15M10AT, a 10-outlet (rear), 1U rackmount metered automatic transfer switch (ATS) power distribution unit (PDU), provides 100-120V 15A output. The PDU distributes unfiltered electrical pass-through to 10 NEMA 5-15R receptacles from redundant NEMA 5-15P plugs. Dual power cords can be plugged into separate power sources to provide redundancy to single-corded connected equipment. If power for the primary source exceeds the lower or upper thresholds, or if power fails, the PDU will switch to the secondary power source to ensure continuous operation. The PDU will switch back to the primary power source when incoming power becomes stable. The current draw for connected equipment is displayed in amps on the front LCD for real-time load monitoring.

This PDU goes beyond this by offering loading information, transfer targets (based on Frequency or Voltage) and operator-initiated transfer capabilities through an easy to navigate through menu displayed via an LCD display.
Installation took less than five minutes from start of unboxing, and was straightforward.
I am normally an APC/Schneider Electric customer, but I am glad I ventured out of my comfort zone and purchased this unit! It truly is packed with features and appears to be built to last (6 months and counting!)!
I hope this review helps you make an informed purchasing decision...
My configuration is Source A as a UPS, and Source B as utility power (regular wall outlet on a different breaker than the UPS.
I bought this after having an entire rack of equipment shut down at 2 AM because the UPS failed without warning, and ironically, the network path allowing us to switch to failover equipment was on the dead UPS. With this new ATS strip/switch in place, a dead UPS will not result in downtime.
I'm buying more of these for other plants with mission-critical loads.
When the PDU switches between power sources, it does usually cause a beep in the UPS I have plugged in to it. So there is a short, but certainly noticeable transfer time. I don't actually know if the ATS transfer time is short enough to feed computers without crashing them during a power transfer.
