Product Description

D.I.C.E (DNA Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises) is a large organization established to deal with emergencies occuring throughout the Sarbylion galaxy. D.I.C.E F-99 is the only unit comprised entirely of highly trained kids. When a problem arises, D.I.C.E is called to the rescue. And when their special training and skills aren't enough, they rely on their Dinobreakers to help get the job done. Always on call, always on alert - D.I.C.E is ready for action! D.I.C.E. is scheduled to premiere on Cartoon Network this January, features non-stop action and adventure for 6 to 11 year-old boys. Transforming dinosaur vehicles are brought to life in this new anime entertainment property created by Bandai.

Bandai created DICE with a Japanese crews for U.S. audiences. It has aired on Cartoon Network, and is tied to a line of action figures and a PlayStation 2 game. The teenage members of DNA Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises handle difficult assignments throughout the Sarbyllion Galaxy: they rescue people in danger, bring medicine to sick children, and destroy an errant comet before it can crash into a heavily populated planet. Although Captain Tak heads the team, the main character is hot-tempered, red-haired Jet. He and his fellow DICE members ride computer-generated vehicles that turn into mechanical dinosaurs at the command "Liberate!" The rather mild adventures in DICE will probably please elementary school boys--its obvious target audience. But the program is also an interesting example of the increasing influence of anime on American cartoons. (Rated 7 and older: minor violence, mostly robot vs. robot) --Charles Solomon
