I don't think much of "New 52" (why are they still calling it that?) designs, but Hawkgirl is one of the handful that I like -- even if I thought the book was terrible when I read it. Sculpt is great, paint application I'd give about 80% and articulation is standard from what DCC was doing at the time. You get a knife, as well as a gun that very loosely fits into the right thigh holster for accessories. The wings are a little odd on mine. The sculpt is adequate, but the peg system is very hard to insert -- which makes it all the more strange that if Hawkgirl came up against a stiff breeze her wings would just pop off. But falling appendages are not really anything new from winged characters -- I've almost grown to expect that. What's a lot worse is the fact that DCC used those cheap, brittle, clear pegs for the legs. Almost no pressure against a modicum of resistance and I heard the telltale "snap" that every collector finds so disheartening.
I only paid $11 for it, so I will keep it to modify. My words will echo those of others here. If you like to keep figures in box this is a good figure, but if your an "opener" think twice before purchase.
One star diminished b/c I don't think a customer should have to boil a figure for it to work. Plus, greater pose-ability would be nice.
