Articulation is PERFECT...except, for the turning radius of his upper torso. That appears only 25 degrees at the most. Lesser still his upper body tilt angle, about -15 back and +10 degrees forward - this is insufficient for many action poses. As an articulaholic, in some areas shaving off "some" of the body's surface anatomy, to gain greater pose ability is an acceptable sacrifice.
Lastly on the articulation is the upper thigh, it's fine (actually looks nicely real) but would be far better IF it were a split upper-thigh.
So obviously if I still give this figure 5-STARS you know the quality is rock solid TIGHT+ (Forearm, hand removal is SWEET, nicely ribbed pegs for the holes) What makes this figure (like many DC figures) a step ahead of some HASBRO figures. DC is not shy when it comes to using full new moldings per figure - (unlike some MARVEL figures using the EXACT same mold) with no raised details - just a surface re-paint. NOT the DC ICONS. With adult level detail and articulation, I can finally start collecting my favorite DC characters.
Thank you DC ENTERTAINMENT for a quality figure! Won't be mad at ya' if you release a Series_2 with split thigh and greater tilt/turn radius. This re-release could include a John Stewart in civilian working attire (2-Figures 1-Pack!).
WARNING: Update. be VERY, VERY careful handling the lantern when trying to place it into his hand, I broke the skinny handle of the lantern - it is thin, should have been made of a more flexible material to resist breakage. I still feel the quality is rock solid. The handle of the Lantern could be an R&D prototype oversight?
