Whether it's your first boot, or you simply need something that gets the job done without all the expensive bells and whistles, the DC Phase Snowboard Boot will meet your demands. A memory foam liner and UniLite construction make the Phase as lightweight and comfy as boots that are twice the price. Traditional lacing is reliable and simple, and Direct Power lacing provides more leverage for optimal shell closure and a custom fit. Anatomical J-bars in the heel prevent uncomfortable, fatigue-inducing heel lift, and the Red liner features EVA foam to provide a comfy fit and a fleece lining to help your toes stay toasty. Unilite replaces rubber in the outsole to shave weight and improve cushioning without sacrificing traction.
DC recognizes the fusion between art and skateboarding, taking footwear to the next level. Delivering uncompromising comfort, durability, and eye-catching fashion, DC is the source for everyday and technical skateboarding footwear.

With all of that said I am impressed at the fit of these boots more so than many (much more expensive boots) that I have tried. My foot tends to be on the wider side, and the ankle cups and toe box fit well after just a few days of riding (+1 star).
I was worried about these packing out too fast and the boots did just that. There was no way I could even squeeze into a smaller half size, so I had to deal with pack out issues after about 25 days (-1 star).
These boots have a fantastic flex that has held up to the rigors of teaching and constant park abuse. I like a medium-soft boot, and the flex pattern hasn't worn yet (+1 star).
Another issue I had with the boot was a tear on the in step foot panel of my front foot. It appeared to have a lot of wear from rubbing against my binding. After day 30 I noticed the rip on the boot and I was really bummed (-1 star).
On the bright side of my boot having a huge rip in them, I was able to contact DC, explain my situation, and have a new pair of boots shipped (at no cost to me) right away (+1 star).
Overall, I think you get what you pay for. This is a middle of the road, medium-soft flexing, park boot, at a low price point. I wasn't expecting to have my mind blown, and it wasn't. Decent cheap boot.
These boots are also extremely comfortable. I took them out for the first time this weekend and had no problems whatsoever. The internal shoe of the boot is filled with a faux fur lining, which is great because it didn't chafe like other boots I've used in the past. They're also reasonably rigid, which is great because they offer very good support for all-day rides.
Would highly recommend.
So I bought my first pair at 11, but returned it because it was too small, and got these 11.5's. These got in and I wore them around for 5 min, and decided they were too small. So i'm Returning them again to go one full size larger than all my other shoes. So be warned I would start with at least .5 larger than original, but i know i am 1 full size bigger
