It comes in a nice case and is easy to carry and transport. These is ample room for storage of all the parts needed for flying. This is above my expectations. Some of my higher priced drones do not have cases. I think many people underestimate the value of a case. Great place to store extra props, batteries, remote, charging cord, etc. I have lost batteries and props because of a lack of storage .
The second thing that one needs to consider when purchasing this drone is are there parts available for it. You will crash. Parts will get damaged. Expect it. I have not owned this drone long enough to see if parts are readily available. But is does come with extra props should one get damaged and they are easy to replace. I'm sure you can get parts from Amazon if you need them. I have been able to buy spare motors for my $35 drone, but I would check into what parts are available for this drone before purchasing.
The next thing to consider is the quality of construction. This does not have nearly as nice of a camera as my $2K drone, but hey, what do you expect for the price? The video is a bit grainy but it is acceptable. The camera seems to be attached to the drone nicely and will not fall off like I have had a problem with some other drones. The plastic housing seems quite durable so it can absorb some crashes. It is quite light weight and it can get difficult to control in a breeze, but most drones in this price range have this same problem. If you want a drone that is easy to fly with a slight breeze, then look for a drone that has GPS tracking. It is this flaw that might make flying this drone difficult for beginners. But again, it is inexpensive.
The next thing to consider is the app and connectivity. This drone sends out a wifi signal (non internet) to connect to an app that you install on a tablet or smartphone. I take that back. You can not use a tablet because the holder on the remote is not large enough for a tablet. Additionally, your flight range is limited to the wifi signal that the drone sends out. The app itself has all the features, and then some, that are a nice touch that is found on more expensive drones. You can operate the camera by hand motions, tap to take off and land and return home are some of the finer features.
Putting everything else aside, perhaps one of the greatest selling points that this drone has to offer is from the company's customer service. Never, I repeat, never have I had such outstanding customer service. I have another drone from this company that I had a minor problem with and within days, they were helping me out. They made sure I was thoroughly satisfied with their product. I would buy a drone from them again just because of their customer service.
So overall, is it great drone? The answer to that is yes, for the money that you pay. I would recommend this drone for people who do not want to spend a great deal of money. Just realize that there are better drones out there, but you will have to pay more money to get them. Also realize that there are worse cheaper drones out there. For this being an inexpensive drone, I'd say it is well worth the money. I would buy it again.
