My biggest problem with this mix is that is is more of a compilation of songs than a continuous mix. Basically, someone just sequenced the tracks and didn't leave any silent gaps between tracks (usually). Some minor editing is done, however, so that the final drum hit of one track does usually correspond to the initial drum hit of the next song. If you just want to hear a series of fun tracks from early 80s and late 70s, and you are not really into DJ culture and dance culture, this will probably not bother you.
Since I have criticized this set, it is only fair I suggest better alternatives:
Check out Ben Liebrand's continuous mix sets (he has several, BUT do note that he has released a ton of compilations as well. make sure you know what you are looking at)
Also check out Larry Levan's mix cds (they include Paradise Garage, Live at Paradise Garage, and Journey into Paradise). Hist stuff focuses more on 80s disco, but he is THE disco DJ in the minds of a lot of people.

I bought it for Disco Lucy, a fine homage to the I Love Lucy show theme song. The rest is amazingly fun as well.Published on February 16, 2013 by Sandman
While the songs here are certifiable hits, some of them do not belong in the "disco" genre ("Brickhouse", "Celebration", just to cite two). Read morePublished on June 29, 2003 by Reginald D. Garrard
