The item I received arrived in two days free prime shipping. It was ordered on Thursday and arrived on Saturday.
Inside the amazon box is one DJI package. The package contains two (2) landing gears and a smaller package of ten (10) screws (only eight are needed) with the familiar blue loctite on the threads. The package is labeled with the DJI logo and it next says PARTS & COMPONENTS and also includes the url for the DJI website. On the other side, it says PHANTOM 2 VISION. It also says Spare Part NO.4 Landing Gear. It also says PV645910258, whatever that means. It also says DJI THE FUTURE OF POSSIBLE.
The item is exactly the same landing gear which came attached to my stock Phantom 2 Vision when I bought it new in box. Same height, same width, same thickness, same screw hole sizes, same strength, same color, same everything. It even includes the four little landing pads already glued in place. Its vertical height is just a hair under 4 and three-quarters inches excluding the landing pads.
It's true - the two landing gears don't include a place for the compass which means these two landing gears are actually both port-side landing gears and neither of them are starboard-side landing gears. Nonetheless, they will still work perfectly as both port and starboard landing gears if you're willing to use something like white medical tape to hold the compass on the leg.
If that doesn't appeal to you, you can buy a new compass ($15), and it would include a starboard-side landing gear with a compartment for the compass just like the stock aircraft. You'd then have a spare compass and spare port-side landing gear for later.
Other than the missing compass compartment, the item is perfect.
2. It does not have the little rubber pad/feet like the original.
3. There is no place for the compass or antenna to slip into like on the original. Maker sure you have a little strong tape. Duck Tape works great.
Note of caution: When opening up the cover for the compass on the original leg, use a small flat blade screw driver to gently pry it open but DO NOT touch the top or bottom of little circuit board, that is inside, with you bare fingers you should only hold by the edges. As a rule circuit boards are very susceptible to static electricity that everyone has on their body.
Price was good.
