The Zen muse H3-3D 3-Axis Gimbal for GoPro HERO3/3+ from DJI is a camera stabilization device for use on select multi-rotor RC aircraft. It is driven by a 3-axis brushless gimbal that not only supports tilting and canting, like the previous H3-2D model, but also panning as well. Not only will it keep your aerial video's horizon level and isolated from vibration, the gimbal can also be used to remotely operate there camera, allowing you to adjust the camera angle with ±0.08 Degree accuracy in flight. Note: This system is balanced for the naked, unmodified GoPro HERO3 and HERO3+ action cameras only. Camera add-ons such as filters or housings will throw off the balance and could damage the gimbal. Additional, when used with the HERO4 it may not perform optimally.

Whats cool about the Phantom Upgrade board is that it take the place of the PMU and GCU so you save on weight but there is more soldering as you have to solder each of the four ESC/Motor combos to the Upgrade Board. Both cost about the same.
People have criticized this unit for being quite fragile. This is true, unfortunately thats the nature of this kind of delicate, precision, balanced technology. Sorry. If you can't handle not crashing your Drone than go back to buying the $25 RC helicopters from Walmart. This is for the big boys and girls to put on their birds to capture insane footage.
Straight up, I saw this gimbal right off the bat when I got into phantoms and thought I would never pay that much for a gimbal. Its essentially just as much as the phantom itself. So I went through some other 2 directional gimbals but the Yaw Wiggle (look it up) was too obvious. I went through 3 faulty DYS Smart 3-AXIS Alexmos gimbals that were a nightmare and then I finally realized that if I wanted truly professional stabilization, the Zenmuse is the way to go.
Get it. Love it. Be Careful with it. Always calibrate your compass and you'll be fine.
I am returning this device.
Here is part of the description for this Gimbal:
"It is easy to install, lightweight and ideal for everything from extreme sport to filmmaking. The H3-3D gimbal is powered with advanced algorithms, high precision sensors and brushless motor designs used in professional Zenmuse gimbals, making it astoundingly stable. Small size, professional performance Takes the 3-axis GoPro stabilization, high precision control (within ±0.08deg.) and smooth tilt control. Effortless Setup Plug and play installation, no additional hardware or software tuning required. "
Which is a lie.
