Perfect for stable video while recording for real estate agents!

I record videos for real estate agents, most recently virtual House tours due to covid-19. this gimbal allows me to capture super stable footage on my smartphone and to give people a virtual tour of the house they might potentially buy without any unwanted shakes or stammers in the footage! in the attached video when walking up or downstairs it seems as if I am a ghost floating throughout the house except for when I show up in the mirror! Overall would definitely recommend especially because the built-in app called the DJI mimo app has awesome features spread throughout the entire thing that allow you to do tons of creative things with the gimbal that would otherwise be impossible unless you were an expert.

CLARO que se puede... muchos dicen que no lo pueden estabilizar , claro que se puede, obvio a mi también me costo trabajo pero uno tiene que tener paciencia. lo que no me gusto es que no te trae instrucciones y como que te quedas en blanco pensando como lo vas a activar ... la segunda cosa es que me costo trabajito estabilizarlo pero lo logre. empece a probarlo haber que tal y me encanto

I didn't have time to practice using this before I went to the field. Turns out the field was a perfect training ground. Videos really look professional when using this stabilizer. I was able to figure out how to use it in less than 15 minutes. But, I had freaked out right before that, realizing I had no clue what I was doing, and thinking it was going to be too difficult. So, go ahead and buy this. I think it will be useful for anyone shooting videos on the go! Seems solidly built, and I really liked the results.

Every Generation keeps getting better...

I have had all three generations of the Osmo Mobile and each one keeps getting better. They brought back the rubber grip and the lanyard with this third generation that was removed on the 2nd gen and the way this new one folds up is awesome so make sure that you buy the option with the case and tripod.

The only issue I do have is that they have taken away the ability to level the gimbal at any angle. With the first and second generations, this was a great option as you could perform low-follows of animals or people on the fly. This new one will not do this as it always levels with the handle which will leave it facing the ground if the handle is being held down.

Nice gimbal for the non-professional videographer that wants to take better videos and have amazing panoramic photo options that give nearly professional results. The DJI Osmo Mobile3 is compact, lightweight and sturdy. Connecting your phone and pairing with the OM3 is incredibly easy thanks to DJI’s app and well thought out quick start instructions. I am currently using an iPhone8 with the OM3, and have no problem running the app even with my older device. My only issue with the Osmo Mobile3 is that you must remove the case from your phone in order for it to fit the mount on the OM3. I contacted DJI about this and was told that there was no current option or plan to offer a case. I was pretty dissatisfied with the support on this issue as in my research I found several instances of users damaging their devices when they were transitioning it from the mount. Accidents happen, and it is unfortunate that DJI does not build their product to accommodate any cases that would offer any level of protection against accidental damage. I was able to find a case that fits my iPhone8 (also fits the iphone7 and the 2020 iPhoneSE). The Spigen Ultra Hybrid 2 case will fit your iPhone while in the cradle mount for the Osmo Mobile3.

Summary: Love the gimbal, app is decent, the cradle mount is less than acceptable in that the only way to use it properly is to remove your phone’s case (resulting in a 3 star rating).

OLD ISSUE: Another cool product from DJI. However, beware that although it is advertised as the DJI Osmo 3 COMBO package (DJI official packaging/graphics has all the included Combo items shown on the front of box and clearly the Combo package includes a hard shell carrying case and a tripod). I ordered and paid the higher price for the Combo because I actually wanted all these included items. I received the basic DJI Osmo 3, not the Combo as advertised and paid for and as my order history shows. Returned for correct replacement and was sent ANOTHER NON COMBO unit. What's up with that? Total time waster and frustrating. I suggest purchasing directly from the DJI Store and skipping the potential for same nonsense. Very cool gizmo so only thumbs up for the actual product.

I bought this product to film vlogs and myself playing music. I was hoping for a function that it doesn’t have. I was hoping you could program it to slowly move between two points while filming stationary. It can do that while doing a time lapse, but alas not while doing simple video.

But I found it very useful regardless. The follow function is pretty smooth and the jitters of handheld video are gone. It’s given me video and photo ideas I never would have tried before. It is simply a great tool. Amazingly priced for how well it works.

Don't buy the combo! comes with case but no place to put tripod. so combo is useless.
Also, you need to install app before you can even use it (activation). So if like me you simply wanted manual control with some stabilization, forget this. Movement is also limited. Doesn't do 360 rotation not even close . There will come a point while filming out of dji's rotation capabilities that it will just go crazy cause can't keep up and I'm just holding it horizontal. Seem this is more for the vlogger that only film themselves in videos and holds the Dji vertically. Really regret buying this.
As for quality, it's there. Motors are totaly silent, but that's it.
The app is bloated, super complex and trying to stuff content down your throat. Why show me videos of others! Who gives a ..... Anyways, ain't happy and can't be returned!

Absolutely love how well-designed this gimbal is. I use it with my Galaxy Samsung Note 9 (not pictured here because- well I had to write this note while taking pictures for this post...:-)). The only function thats missing for me is the possibility to switch front to rear camera while filming selfies for Vlog. I am using the DJzi Mobile 3 with the following additional equipment: FilmicPro app for added Pro filming functionality. Rhode2Go wireless sound system connecting the smartphone Sound Jack to the Rhode transmitter unit (you also need to to purchase a little Rhode SC4 adapter cable between smartphone and transmitter as smartphone Jack has 4 pins, and your traditional microphone Jack has only 3 pins). Then the Rhode receiver is connected to a lavalier microphone that I clip on my shirt. This means I'm now able to put my DJI osmo mobile 3 on the tripod (part of this purchase kit) to film myself doing stuff either on my computer or around the house or in the kitchen or whatever you'd like to produce a video for, and not be bothered by a sound cable running from my mouth to the smartphone which is fixed to the gimble.

It did require a bit of a learning curve from me at first, and I consider myself quite a tech head. In fact, I first thought it wasn't working. Then I realized that it wasn't an intuitive device and I actually needed to find a training video on YouTube to teach me how to use it. By the way, it DOES NOT come with any instructions. I didn't even know what software to install until I watched the YouTube video. To save you some time, you need to install the app on your phone called, "DJI Mimo". With all of that said, once I got it running, it was amazing. It's a dream tool. I wish I bought it ages ago. I do highly recommend this device. Just take your time to play with it and learn it. You won't be disappointed.

We like to go outdoors for walks or bike rides and this is a really cool device to have with us. It is small enough to take anywhere and takes amazing quality videos. We love that we can move around and it keeps everything centred. The time lapse feature is also another cool way to use this product.

Some things to keep in mind:
- You need to use DJI's app in order for it to work
- You have to balance the phone first, otherwise you will get a message saying "phone not mounted." It takes some getting used to but once you have it down, it's a great device
