Read Description carefully - you don't get what is in the picture

Paid more for the starter bundle thinking that I was getting what was in the picture. When product arrived I had received only the drone and a small microcloth. I talked to customer service and they did say that the picture was wrong and that I should have read the description better and that they had other calls about the same problem. Needless to say, not happy with my purchase and sending back the same day I received it. Immediately ordered another drone package from a different company whose picture and description matched. Buyer beware.

Description of product was misleading (ie “starter bundle”) and priced higher for no reason by the seller, because the only thing extra you are getting with the “bundle”, is a cleaning cloth. The off the shelf Mavic Mini box includes everything shown in the picture.

The Mavik Mini drone is outstanding, especially for this price. For reference, I have had one drone before this (Parrot Bebop).

Pros:
-Stability and control are simply outstanding. Very easy to fly and includes three different settings. Easy to make micro-adjustments in-flight, this allows you to get some very good shots.
-Camera quality is unbelievable. For $400 I am shocked at how great the photos and videos turn out. If you're wondering, the quality is so good that it could definitely be used for commercial purposes.
-The size. I was a little reluctant at first to buy a "mini" drone, but once you get used to the size difference it doesn't feel odd. I now prefer the small size.
-The controller is easy to use, feels sturdy, and is compact.
-Overall just seems to be put together and designed really well.
-Battery life. I haven't fully tested it to its limits, but I've gotten 30-35 minutes of flight time while using the camera for 80% of that time.
-Very easy set-up.

Cons:
-The gimbal protector is kind of a pain to fit around the camera. This isn't a big deal as it only takes a few extra seconds to get on correctly. It just could be better.
-The cord that plugs your phone into the controller only fits through the controller one way, again not a big deal.
-It only came with one charging cord (you charge the controller and drone with the same cord). Also, it didn't come with the outlet for the wall. This was somewhat dissapointing.

Overall, totally amazing drone that can be flown by the amateur or professional for commercial purposes. I don't think I will ever buy anything that isn't from DJI again. This is a gamechanger.

I bought the Mavic Mini as my first drone after watching all the many YouTube video's about it just to find out that the flight software will not work with my android 8 LG stylo 4 phone. My phone is not on a list that JDI has for phones that it will work with. That is not mentioned any where. the video's say nothing about that. All android phones are not created the same, neither are customers.

DJI Fly app did not work for me. It would not take my password and did not send another via email as the app said it would. And, yes, I did check my spam folder. Therefore the drone is not usable. Missing controller charger and very confusing instructions. I returned it for a (hopefully} full refund from a non-Amazon seller. In the future I would purchase directly from Amazon for protection from third party sellers. I had heard about DJI software problems and was reticent to order any DJI products because of that. I have now learned my lesson.

This drone is incredibly disappointing. It is very easy and fun to fly. It is great to see how things look from the sky while you are flying it. However I have had a terrible experience with recording videos and pictures. I have taken over 100 pictures that simply were not saved. For no reason that I can understand they just are not recorded. Of I take 30 pictures maybe 20 are saved and are great pictures and there is no record of the other 10 or some of them have big sections blocked out or the file is blank. The percentage of videos that have not been saved is even higher. One out of a dozen might save, but some are cut short or have errors or refuse to download. The ability to record images with the drone is not reliable.

There have also been issues of the drone drifting to the side while hovering causing a crash on one occasion and several near misses. The drone also looses GPS signal sometimes and that can make it think it is in a restricted area and refuse to fly or restrict the altitude and functionality.

I really wanted to love this drone. The quality of the pictures that have been recorded is fantastic. However I cannot rely on this for work or to capture anything that I want because there is a less than %50 chance that it will function properly.

I have contacted DJI a few times but they Either do not understand the issues or they don’t care. They have told me to update the firmware which has been done and not helped, and hey told me to watch the video tutorials online which does not address the issues.

For now it seems I have a very expensive child’s toy for the backyard. I am very dissatisfied with this device.
