A great upgrade to the prior version

Well, this is my second DMYCO dash cam purchase. I had the 12" one which I was very satisfied. However, I wanted the GPS function and sure this second 10" GPS version delivered.

Shipping:
It was fast - arrived one day early.

Installation:
Same as the 12" version, the unit was easy to install. The included plastic prying tool was very handy when installing and hiding the wires. The main wires you need to install/hide are usb power cable, rear/back camera video cable, and the GPS sensor cable. I had everything done in 30 minutes.

Testing:
The camera resolution was pretty good - both front and rear. you do need to adjust the front camera lens angle a bit to get a straight and leveled shoot. My highway and local street testing are both pretty clear. No shaking, no blurry, and pretty accurate color.

GPS function:
This is the main reason I bought this unit - the GPS sensor cable is long and I placed the sensor in the corner of dashboard on drivers side. It picked satellites with no problem. Now the video recordings (front and rear) all have a comprehensive driving data stamp - date, time, speed, latitude, longitude. Like it a lot. I did not need to calibrate the speed function - it is in sync with my speedometer.

All in all - very good - so far no compliant.

I will be using this one and install the prior 12” one on another car. GPS stamp on the video makes me feel much better now:-)

It took me about 2 hours to install on my Accord. The wire to the rear view camera fits Accord with a little bit extra length. The power supply wire can’t reach the socket inside my armrest box, but it’s more than enough to reach the front cig lighter. The screen is clear, both cameras give clear picture. When putting in reverse mode, the screen squeeze the whole rear view to the screen so I can see more. Clicking the power button turns off the screen and the recording is still going on. Took me a while to hook up the wire to reverse light and the marks on the screen is useful. The visor doesn’t hit the 10 inch screen when flipped down so this is good. Night vision is pretty good as far as there’s some light. In pure dark place, of course can’t see anything. This makes my Accord very cool, I just need to get used to seeing the rear view from the perspective outside the car. Recording both front and rear is also great. Last time someone rear hit my wife’s car and ran and the front dashcam doesn’t provide enough evidence, neither a clear plate number.

It is the best dashcam that i have ever seen. It is super cool and high definition resolution camera. You can see the car plate and its driver clearly. It also solve the blind point of car problem. When you slide the screen you can see front and back vision. You can set the g-sensor and parking mode when you parked. I liked it. Its price is half of the others on the market.

Quality compact dash/rear camera solution for any vehicle

This is a great product for both front and rear cameras. The integrated rear view mirror/monitor doesn’t affect driving or reduce windshield area.

The new anti-glare coating helps you to see the screen in bright sunlight, however still will washout the image in a convertible.

The streaming rear view capability is great for trucks or other vehicles without a clear line of sight to the back of the vehicle. Be sure to plan the routing of the wire prior to installing so you are certain there will be enough.

The installation is relatively simple with the right tools (Trim removal tool included) and wiring plan. There is only one connection to the reversing light wire (which doesn’t have to be made for the rear view camera to be operational). Everything else is plugged into a 12v car outlet. I found the mini (not micro) usb power cable clunky and oversized. I ordered a separate 10’ cable and ran it to a USB adapter in my cigarette outlet.

This is my second DMYCO product and I will definitely order from them again in the future. Their customer service is responsive and helpful.

Works great, especially for the price. Camera and recording quality is great and everything works flawlessly. Of course, there is glare as it is a mirror but for not a big issue. I use it in a camper which does not have back windows and use the rear camera only to park the car which works great.
Minor issue, speed is shown in mph and I would like to switch it km/h. Cannot find a way to change it, need to contact support. Btw support is great, fast response and great help!

This is a good product. But do your research first.
I forgot to measure the current mirror in my car so 10" is the same size, but should have gone for the 12" model.
You will prob need to get use to the mirror as it will be different to the manufacturer. Eg. How enlarged, slight differences with mirror curvature.
The camera won't be centred, and hence in Australia the driver side (right) is not completely captured.
With the camera arm extended out it is still not enough to get full front bonnet visibility. And because the extensio is plastic, expect it to rattle, along with some vibrations of the mirror.
Due to the tinted coating on the mirror, there is a slight double vision when cars behind have their lights on.
I personally will buy a barrel type or the traditional small inch screen style now for my car
