As usual, Rick Chesler brings us into a cheesy chompy paradise full of things that bite (and rend and tear you into a million little red pieces). The North Korea aspect is fun and it really did feel like Chesler has been on that actual DMZ tour (only without the beasties).
I liked most of our characters and found myself in that jungle with them as they were being stalked by hungry things.
The only sour note was one of our characters - the only one I didn't like. And she was one of our two main characters. Seriously, I wanted her to be dino lunch! (Was she? You'll have to read to find out!)
All in all, though, the fast and fun Rick Chesler writing I've come to love. Bring on the next book!
