DOPE OPERA
HEAVY ON KARMA - HIGH ON HOPE
Blacking out at a New Years Eve party, BRADLEY decides to change his life. Using Eastern meditation and Yoga body control he resolves to quit smoking, drinking and eating junk food. BRADLEY does though allow himself a puff of dope as his only recreational drug.

"In five days you'll be back on your knees, degrading yourself as usual," bets JAKE, waving a smoking cigarette like a stick of dynamite, under Bradley's nose.

But the five days are plagued by a series of strife related incidents that will test BRADLEY'S resolve to the full.
Will BRADLEY succeed or will the nightmare events bring an end, not only to his New Years Resolutions but to his very life.

The film although unfinished is a novelty - it was directed by Monty Python editor Julian Doyle and features Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson. The finance came from millionaire Chris Dawes who, after starting the project had himself arrested for possesion of huge quantities of Crack Cocaine but on release pending trial, bought a Maclaren F1 car and driving at 200mph on a wet, night road in Essex, crashed killing himself and his passenger. The production stopped with just 30 minutes in the can. Julian and Bruce went on to make the controversial film 'Chemical Wedding.'

It should be known that Bruce Dickinson and Julian Doyle collaborated for a movie called "Chemical Wedding' (here in North America titled "Crowley"). Before that, and before Bruce re-joined Iron Maiden, Bruce and Julian had joined forces and began filming this funny little film called "Dope Opera", a Monty Python-esque look at British pot culture. However, this film never got completed due to a tragedy.

I came across this on YouTube, and me being a fan of Bruce to the max, I decided to watch this- it could be interesting after all. Basically, it's a film about a group of pot dealers in London, England- one of them has a kid, which is extremely hilarious, one of them decides to quit dealing. One of them even has a recording music deal.

Bruce doesn't appear in this for long, maybe 2 scenes. But the film ends with a pretty outrageous sex scene between Bruce and the Mom- it's hilarious, use of Latin, customers at the door, and the like. And girls will drool over it, because Bruce appears naked in it (which I was NOT expecting)! But yeah it's a funny scene.

In short, if you come across this, do not pass it up- it's very funny and worth it for any Bruce fan!
